- As a Tech I will do
whatever I can to get the job done, be it pulling cable, splicing new ring,
running contractors on big splice Mops to testing PMD/CD. All with no
customer impact. People look to me to get the job done.
- I work well under
stressful situations.
- I am very
knowledgeable with fiber/OSP; I know how it works and what to do to keep it
working, from putting it in the ground/on the pole, building new rings,
test and new customer turn up.
- Work with
contractors on ISP installs, be it risers or simple wall pulls
- I also have a strong
understanding of SONET and Ethernet gear. DS0s to 10g’s
- Review major
cutovers and weekly splice activity documents. My input would help
ensure successful cutovers, fiber relocation and building entries.
- Supervise over
contracted fiber splicers on a weekly basis.
- Work with new
building management or point of contact daily.
