construction erosion and sedimentation control during commercial development in the Towns of

Poughkeepsie and Beekman in New York. Review and comment on development as­built maps

submitted to town municipalities. Develop punch­lists and as­built review comment letters during

construction phases and prior to dedication of residential subdivision roads and storm facilities in East

Fishkill and Beekman, NY. Review, calculate and revise performance bond estimates.

Outside Plant Engineer. Performed field and office work for aerial, buried, and underground

plant design including revision of AutoCAD schematics for appropriate line placement, splicing and

terminal blocks. Obtain utility easements and permits for new plant including IMC Service Area Cabinets

and AFC Remote Subscriber Units. Assist union splicers and installers with record cable terminal counts

and cut­overs. Correspond with electric distribution companies such as Niagra Mohawk, NYSEG and

Central Hudson for proposals and ‘make ready’ work. Coordinate with state, county, and town public

work personnel to plan telecommunication plant designs during county or state highway improvement

Senior Engineering Aid. Projects included, but not limited to the following: Survey, download

and plot coordinates. Calculate boundaries for parcel acquisitions and right of way determinations.

Operate total station transit using data collector with survey crew. Modify traffic control safety maps.

Monitor private and commercial driveway construction aprons on county roads via inspection for

compliance with minimum standards. Perform traffic counts, accident and speed limit studies using

MUTCD standards. Issue permits for commercial and residential access. Inspect gas line and telephone

utility excavation and installation. Perform site and building construction inspection of a salt storage

facility, and a Park and Recreation reconstruction project, which included municipal water installation.

Inspect and study pavement rehabilitation procedures as an inspector for over 150 mainline miles, which

included reclamation, true & level and overlay processes. Describe subsurface soil excavation logs.

Gradation sieve analyses. Aide in OSHA safety program. Measure/record all highway

maintenance/construction work and proposed reconstruction of culvert and guide rail systems county

wide during a two year tour with the Construction and Maintenance Division. Inspect total highway

reconstruction projects including a NYSDOT highway improvement, and county bridge
