Designed feeder and distribution work orders for Verizon FIOS system in accordance with G095 and 128. Designed routine work orders for Verizon BAU copper system. Attend site walks with various cellular companies representing Verizon Telephone for the purpose of extending Verizon’s local fiber system to cell sites. Meet with local business customers seeking high bandwidth fiber service and notify them of additional back board space, power, grounding, EMT or sub-duct requirements if necessary. Inform Verizon of customer expected completion dates and all customer requirements for system delivery.  Design fiber to the home work orders for Verizon’s FIOS system and correct work order design on work orders performed by others to meet Verizon’s design specifications for work order acceptance.

Interfaced with Verizon engineering team to ensure system design and work order delivery expectations meet customer satisfaction. Train new supervisors overseeing engineering, drafting and permit preparation of feeder and distribution work orders for Verizon’s new FIOS system. Under contract to Verizon, performed engineering design of FIOS distribution and feeder work orders. Quality check design performed by others and provide training to outside vendors when needed. Spot new hub locations and compare feeder work orders to hub design to ensure system continuity.

Performed field engineering and design of FIOS (fiber optic system) for Verizon California. Engineer feeder work orders, verify hub locations and train new field engineers.

Outside Plant Manager/ Construction Coordinator, XO California, 1924 Deere Ave., Santa Ana, Ca

Prepared engineering and construction cost analysis and timelines for extending fiber optic system to new customers, prepared engineering and construction budgets for new extensions. Prepared annual outside plant budget for LA/OC Market. Manage all engineering, splicing, cable locating and permitting for LA/OC Market. Manage engineering and construction activities of XO’s fiber optic system, aerial and underground, inspected system construction to ensure conformance to GO95 and GO128. Notify on call construction contractors of fiber outages and oversee all activities necessary for complete system restoration.

Oversee all operations in Santa Ana, Sacramento and Palo Alto California, East Orange New Jersey and Cleveland Ohio. In 1983 on loan to K&B America to write guidelines and oversee the Outside Plant Utilization Audit of GTE California under the direction of a joint effort between GTE and the State of California Public Utilities Commission, present the audit and testify as an expert witness in the rate case proceedings in San Francisco. Prepared routine work orders for Pacific Bell and perform SAC studies as an on prem engineer for Pacific Bell El Toro engineering district. Performed strand mapping and make ready engineering for various cable companies in Los Angeles and Orange County. QC and field verify work orders performed by others in accordance with GO95 and 128. Performed construction inspection of various cable companies as directed by LADWP.
