Responsibilities:

§    Prepared an International community development foundation to restore vitality to historic sites.

§    Consulted with Government officials to create a working plan for the restoration of Casco Viejo in Panama City, Republic of Panama.

§    Designed and created a current map of building deficiencies in Casco Viejo, Panama City, and provided the drawing to the Oficina de Politico Historico.

§    Managed restoration of several historic houses within Historic Districts throughout Arizona.

 

AT&T – Phoenix, AZ

OSP Project Manager, 2011 to 2012

Responsibilities:

§    Provided complete project management from conception through completion for Fiber Optic 4G upgrade projects including placing fiber to cell tower sites, customer facing projects and augment ring extensions.

§    Engineered and created Project GIS design route drawings based on existing utility conflicts and site encumbrances.

§    Wrote the Project RFQ’s for Permit Engineering and Construction, and put them out to bid.

§    Inspected the Engineering permits for compliance with AT&T construction standards prior to submittal.

§    Procured City and Special Utility Permits including railroad and canal crossings then ordered the fiber cut to length and other materials provided by AT&T based on the final permits and Project Scope.

§    Observed and provided on-site assistance as the AT&T representative during the construction process, and completed the final inspection after construction and splicing.

§    Created final as-builds and completed the project close out documentation.

 

walker cable specialties, Inc. – Phoenix, AZ

Managing OSP Project Engineer, 1985 to 2010

Responsibilities:

§    Employed and managed a staff of 40 office personnel, design engineers, field technicians and CAD Technicians to provide Broadband OSP engineering mapping and RF design services to various nationwide customers including Cox Communications, Media One, Insight Communications, NPG Cable of Arizona, and Cable One.

§    Provided over 4,000 miles of over head and underground facilities strand and as-built mapping, and 5,000 miles of RF design engineering to add fiber optic technology for residential and commercial internet, phone and cable service plus new plant extensions.

§    Provided Permit Engineering including over 1,000 permits for OSP fiber and Coax plant extensions to facilitate system upgrades and new plant.

§    Provided Commercial Telephony Engineering to extend broadband facilities to commercial buildings that were typically left out of the original plant designs.

§    Provided MDU Post Wire Engineering services to post-wire MDU complexes with Panduit and lockboxes.

§    Provided Overhead Make Ready Engineering for pole attachments, including a hurricane damage assessment in Charlotte NC.

§    Provided Broadband OSP hard-line underground installation, splicing, activation and Sweep Analysis for various companies in Arizona, California and Virginia.

 

Castletronics, Inc. – Glendale, AZ

Managing ISP Project Engineer, 2001 to 2010

Responsibilities:

§    Managed IT network and installation services for over 150 business and residential clients including building and installing at least ten terminal servers and over 300 workstations.

§    Setup industrial network printers and stand alone office printers for access through the remote terminal server networks.

§    Provided Cat5E structured cable installations for data and telephony, plus switches and wireless router programming including VOIP programming to connect remote offices to central PBX telephone systems.

§    Installed over 100 complex residential and commercial video security systems with CCTV and Coax structured cable including programming speed dome rotating cameras with an emphasis on internet computer access for remote control of the cameras and DVR systems. 

§    Installed residential and commercial integrated audio/video systems with an emphasis on RF modulation providing integration of the camera systems into the video network on televisions.

§    Programmed automated keypads and high end automation systems including visual based remote controls for whole house automation.

 

Marshall Ranch Community association – Glendale, AZ

Homeowners Association President, 2001 to 2003

Responsibilities:

§    Conducted monthly Board Meetings and Annual Association Meetings.

§    Managed the common area landscaping and irrigation.

§    Managed communications from Homeowners within the Association.

Strand map engineered the original Cable System in Washington, DC on aerial photographs.

 

Designed the original Fiber Ring for Cox Communications throughout the Metropolitan areas in Phoenix, AZ.
