Worked with a diverse range of residential, commercial and industrial clients in the field to identify/quantify electric power requirements and best route of service delivery. Multitasked to manage several electric construction projects of various degrees of complexity at the same time. Take highly detailed notes to estimate costs to company and client. Wrote sales order, job details (via AutoCAD) and material/labor/overhead costs (via DCIS) for client to sign. Processed order and negotiated a proper project timeline. Used (overhead) poles and/or (underground) cables and pad mounted transformers to fulfill power requirements at optimal cost. Recognized by upper level management for superior customer service.

 

Determined best course of action, purchasing materials, equipment and specialized protection equipment for constructing new power lines, rebuilding existing lines, as well as pole and conductor replacement. Utilized MicroStation to design transmission (161kVA), and distribution (12kV and 4kV) power lines. Employed MS Excel to analyze customer fault current sheet to determine customer load factor and connected electric load. Supervised construction crews in QA/QC and ensuring route was precisely followed. Revised drawings due to unforeseen circumstances and/or real time project changes. Led negotiations and surveys of new electric routes right-of-way for path of service.

·            Led win-win negotiations of $1.2M in new business and electric power improvements < 1 year.

·            Responded quickly as company entered the fiber optic market, becoming certified in splicing, estimating $600K worth of make ready and $80K+ of new business in fiber installation.

·            Re-engineered/replaced transformers, insulators, poles and/or wires to meet National Safety Electric Code on clearances between low and high voltage facilities.
