I am currently engineering & inspecting telephone work for Vantage Point Engineering. I have been engineering for over three years. I have also been staking jobs as well. I have worked in telephone construction approximately three years before this. I was a ground hand for one year then I started climbing after that. I have over six years, experience in engineering and telephone construction combined.

Professional Experience

 

ADVANTAGE POINT ENGINEERING- I am currently working for this company. I have been here since March 2012. I’m inspecting line, drop, buried crews. I am also over all make ready and building of strand and fiber. I also inspect right away. I do all the red lines and clean up on each job site I am on. I have been training a couple of different inspectors for main line aerial construction and drops as well.

FINLEY ENGINEERING- I’ve staked (FTTP) for 7 months while I was here. For 5 months I was inspecting aerial construction, aerial & buried drops and anchor crews. I helped with resident engineers and do red lines and close outs and final inventory on several different jobs.

 

LADD Engineering- I have assisted in engineering & staking while working here. For most of the time I have been inspecting crews work. I worked on pole line inspection to keep maintenance up on all the routes. I started training on how to stake lines while I was here. I inspected crews work & done pole line inspection for over a year.

ELECTRICOM- While I was here I was ground hand and a lineman. Being a ground hand there I set poles, pulled guys, and done buried work. I also placed anchors, poles. I started climbing soon after and built strand and fiber, self -support fiber. I have good knowledge about this work and how to do it to RUS spec.
