Security & Network Analyst, SOX Administrator   2/07 – 6/08

I was lead contact for the IT security, network documentation, VPN maintenance & configuration, WSUS testing, updates, and Sarbanes Oxley compliance at Triton Systems of Long Beach MS a division of Dover Industries.  Upon arrival I documented the multi-domain and multi site network, instigated a documentable plan to insure Sarbanes Oxley and industry standards compliance, and started the continuing process of insuring system wide security utilizing Cisco routers, switches, a Cisco ASA appliance and Sonic Wall devices. I coordinated with the CIO the preparation, review and consolidation of client information systems, recommend policies, standards and methodologies, identified changes in computer and systems technology, and interpreted their meaning to senior management.. I designed infrastructure upgrades to the physical structure at our sites, utilized SEM tools, and functioned as task lead providing guidance & training for less experienced technicians.

 

Network Administrator 1/02 – 2/07

I was responsible for the IT department at Coastal Paper in Wiggins MS., a 24/7 manufacturing plant.  I provided Cisco router & switch maintenance, primary interface with vendor support service groups and provided internal analysis and support to ensure appropriate notification during outages or periods of degraded system performance.  I managed contract labor and insured that the wiring infrastructure, data security, equipment maintenance, purchasing, and system installations were handled with minimal impact to normal operations along with input for budgets, acquisitions and business plans. I coordinated the communications of the local Novell data server to the Corporate Microsoft domain and to the main Corporate AS400 data server located in New England and the backup AS400 onsite.  I was also responsible for the enterprise backup DNS / DHCP server, site-wide backup of data, the local Microsoft domain controller, desktop support, and database design.  I assisted upper management develop the preparation of studies, reports, and other business documents along with recommending long and short-range plans for hardware/software selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production resources
