Responsible for improving the security posture of the field offices in Denver, Las Vegas, and Portland. In support of  the CSO as well as SECD at headquarters. Auditing of systems and assisting with creation of policies that improve the security posture of the Bureau. Due to the sensitive nature of the work I cannot go into more detail.

I am familiar with NISPOM Security Standards and have worked with the ISSM to bring the security auditing into compliance. I have built sever and workstation images with Ghost and Clonezilla to help reduce the time it takes to deploy systems and to reduce the time it takes for Security to buy off those systems.

I assisted in setup of the Data Center at Broomfield Location. Assisted in AD and NDS cleanup after the contract was transferred from Northrop Grumman Corporation. Working to migrate Novell users, Apps and Printers to Windows 2003 and eventually remove Novell from the environment. Actively work with members of other teams across the enterprise to provide seamless support to ICE customer during the contract transition. Built MMC tools and used Vision app to remotely administer servers. I have used various tools for administering user objects in both AD and NDS.

Deskside Support 3 Month contract to assist with Police Department Move and with General Work Load.

 

Handling of Desktop Support tickets of a complex nature in a professional and timely fashion. Building desktop images for new and old models of Dell equipment. Preparing desktop equipment for move as well as setup of equipment in new location. The environment is Windows XP running on a Novell network which they are systematically migrating to Microsoft networking. Deskside Support 3 Month contract to assist with refresh project.

 

Refresh laptops and desktops in a timely fashion. This includes imaging new equipment, transferring files, installing any specialty apps, configuring MS Outlook and other applications to make a seamless transition from one machine to another. Working  to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction with the support they are receiving during this project.

Systems Administrator for network working on projects as assigned. Projects involved where active directory project to gather data on remote Hotel users and add them to active directory. Then to migrate that data into exchange through AD to allow their new track-it ticketing system to pull this data allowing the ticketing system to send out email notification and alerts. I assisted the executives in the corporate office with desk side support issues from simple to complex. I assisted with troubleshooting issues with the Blackberry Enterprise Server which allowed the Daylight Savings Time patch to be pushed out to all of the blackberry devices on the server. I assisted in custom cat6 cabling to straighten out and reduce cable issues in the racks.

As a sub-contractor, Systems Administrator on State of California account

Systems Admin for over 400+ Servers consisting of a mixture of Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 environment. Performed active directory maintenance on large enterprise environment. This support was done remotely from Boulder as the servers are located in each of the counties in California. Proactively provided solutions to issues via Director, MOM and Tivoli monitoring tools to prevent downtime and save productivity and cost to the client. My support helped IBM renew a 5 year contract for $1 Billion Dollars. Versatile enough to provide additional support to other accounts such as Fireman's Fund Insurance Company where I worked with EAX servers and Virtual Machine Guest servers as well as traced network cabling between punch down panels the servers and the switches. I worked with the Franklin account where I installed IBM Blade Centers and Blade servers. I also assisted the Nissan account to troubleshoot Network connectivity issues on an as needed basis. I worked on server floor space consolidation project for SOC which consisted of physical moves, Racking, and re-cabling Rack mount servers and KVM devices consisting of direct cabled KVM and IP over Cat5 KVM switches.
