August
2008 – August 2012
Research
new technologies, plan and implement projects assigned by Director.
Primarily I was tasked with surveying the network using tools like
Solarwinds Toolkit, to map out and discover devices on the schools WAN/LAN,
because there was no network documentation when I started on day one. I
utilized Visio for all of my network diagrams to show administration what
we have in place. I also used it to show administration where we needed to
be. I designed and mapped out new plans for a complete Network and Server
upgrade for all 6 locations. I did walk through with contractors, picked
all equipment and chose which contractors would be best suitable for the
job. Provided Tier II & III support. I also managed Telephony/ VOIP,
MPLS, Firewall, WAN & LAN. I also worked with the following protocols:
TCP/IP, EIGRP, RIPv2, OPSF, IPSEC, SSL, and QOS. I did technical writing
for layouts for system and network upgrades. Performed plenty of manual discovery
on network. Installed and maintained Cisco Switches and Access Points.
Installed and maintained ASA5510 firewall. I supported 1,800 kids and
