Mentored junior developers and cross trained developers on aspects of the

domestic reservations for hotel reservations in the United States and 60% of
reservations worldwide. They receive over a billion requests per day
for availability of hotel rooms. Technologies: Sun One Application Server, J2EE, Oracle
10i, Eclipse. Raymond Corp. 4/2003 – 9/2007 Lead a small group of 6 developers and application
support staff responsible for the development, administration, and
maintenance of the corporation’s Data Warehouse and sales tools. My
group was responsible for the enhancement and development of reports from
various data sources and different levels throughout the organization.
Maintained and developed DTS scripts to load the Data Warehouse. Data
Warehouse was on SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition running Windows 2003
Enterprise Edition. Created, enhanced, and maintained the corporation’s
next generation customer extranet. The customer satisfaction
leapfrogged the competition and is now the standard for their customers’
extranet. This was developed using Java, JSP, Tomcat and JDBC to a SQL
Server database. Developed several web-based applications for both our
dealers and customers using a common framework of Tomcat and SQL Server,
utilizing the Spring framework. Customers managed their truck fleet
from maintenance tasks completed on the truck and reporting cost of
ownership, utilization, and scheduled maintenance reports. Another
application allows dealers to manage CFPM (comprehensive fixed price model)
to give to their customers and also generate reports based upon customers and
trucks. This is all written with Java using JDBC to connect to a SQL
Server backend. Technologies: J2EE, Microsoft SQL Server,
Springframework, Apache Tomcat, Eclipse IDE. Throttle Box Media, Inc. Johnson
City, NY 1998 and 1999-2001 Director, Database Systems Architected and lead the team responsible for the
Digital Rights Management (DRM) implementation. Developed
administration front-end and J2EE backend, creating content for the already
developed frontend. The administration front end allowed Throttle Box
employees to create Throttle Box files using Digital Rights Management
options and attach those options to the media components within the
file. This information was then stored as an XML document and placed in
an Oracle database. The server would receive a request for the
particular file, the XML would then be taken out of the database and then a
new dynamic file would be created. Some options might be to dynamically
place advertisement inside of the Box file based upon history of the user or
demographics from an ad server. This was accomplished using Java,
Swing, Servlets, XML, Oracle, JDBC and InterTrust’s Digital Rights Management
software, Apache/Tomcat and IBM Websphere enabled. CVS and Microsoft
Source Safe maintained source code, HTML and documentation. The build
environment was Unix build. Lead a group of five Java programmers, giving each
individual tasks, mentoring all programmers on the company’s design
methodologies, and design patterns. Handled outside contractor and
management of these contractors. Responsible for the hiring and firing
of employees, as well as periodic performance reviews. Lead conversion
from a Perl/Empress database solution to an Oracle, Java applications, Java
Servlet, Java Beans, JSP and JDBC solution. I was responsible for
verifying the HTML and generating javascript code to check user entered
fields. I also generated javascript to disallow embedding of our site
pages within another frameset, yet allow the search engines to index the
pages. I was also responsible for the database integrity and
verification of program correctness. While this was my main
responsibility, I also programmed for other web sites that ThrottleBox Media,
Inc. has been contracted to do such as IdeaPlanet.com and MovieClubOnline.com
that are each major e-commerce web sites. Technologies: Apache Tomcat, IBM Websphere, Oracle 8i,
JNI, Swing, J2EE, DRM International Business Machines
Endicott, NY 1998-1999 Programmer Analyst Developed the Java SSL socket implementation to takes
full advantage of the S390 built in hardware for data encryption and
decryption. I extended Java’s Socket and ServerSocket class to call C++
code that I wrote. The C++ code called DLLs that use the S390s’ built
in hardware. This software has been used in the LDAP version of IBM’s Java
client. It is also in use in the United Kingdom for a web server that
was completely written in Java. I also started work on Novel’s NDS C++
code, and helped make the code compile on the S390, which was just the
initial part of the project. Developed test scripts for the latest
version of IBM Websphere using Perl to create HTTP requests testing aspects
of Websphere. Source code documentation was maintained by CMVC.
The build environment was Unix build. Technologies: JNI, C++, Perl, CMVC William Andrew, Inc., Norwich, NY
