Major Project: Corporate Equity Solution-SAPPHIRE (Stock Administration Purchase Planning Handling Inquiry Reporting & Execution)

Project SAPPHIRE is a part of a comprehensive re-architecture effort undertaken by Stock Plan Systems to replace the current legacy platforms that process Stock Plan Administration, Record Keeping, and Trading. The design uses a front component for a controller, and business domain is represented in the form of Enterprise Java Beans. There are Batch processes - Upload and Download of Data, which are End-Of-Day processes triggered by the Scheduler. Also generates reports on EOD, Weekly and some are at the End-Of Year. Actuate used to generates report.

SAPPHIRE caters to rich variety of products within Stock Plan world. Main Products and capabilities include:

●        Stock Options, RSA, ESPP.

●        Cash plan - Settling in stock and/or cash

●        Performance based stocks

●        Corporate actions

●        Participant mobility tracking

●        Third Party taxation

●        Ad-hoc & Standard reports (200+)

Module: WM-CES-Global Mobility Data and taxation

Develop a Single, scalable repository of mobility data (participant work and tax payment history) that is accessible for a variety of purposes by participants (regardless of preferred broker), administrative users (Google and MS), and third-party applications (payroll and tax services providers). The project encompasses

Work History - Store participant work location history.

Tax calculation detail - Store all relevant tax calculation detail provided by PWC/Ultimate system.

Module: Client off Boarding

This feature provides the ability to off board a client if he left the Wealth management platform. In addition of it at any point in time the status of any client can be maintained as “Active”, “Inactive” and “Test”. Once client left the WM status become “Terminated” with effective date. It also provides a feature to schedule all the processes to switch off when admin wants to stop the data to flow to downstream system and run the all scheduled jobs. This can be possible after status changed to Terminate. For the clone client’s status become “Test”.

Also I was handling a new module to enhance the performance of existing reports by turning the DB operations. In addition to it providing some handy features like “Select All” and more filters at run time so that user can get specific data more rapidly.

As per the firm mandate application should compatible with IE11. I was involved in making application compatible to run in IE11.

Responsibilities:

●        Have been involved in new Actuate report design and development.

●        Build new Actuate report templates for the client off boarding module.

●        Translated end user requirements into design documents.

●        Designed reports to provided technical specifications.

●        Mapped data between external databases and Actuate Reports.

●        Involved in migration from Actuate 11 to BIRT reports.

●        By using eclips designer crated some existing reports to BIRT report for the POC.

●        Supported and maintained current Actuate Reports.

●        Responded quickly to report modification requests.

●        Worked on the optimization of complex queries to improve the performance.

●        Designed and developed of download and upload framework for batch process with Spring Core module and iBATIS as Object/Relational Mapping (ORM) framework.

●        Involved in requirement gathering and created SRC document and reviewed with business.

●        Handled a team of three persons sitting in offshore and completed the development work within given span of time.

●        This project done based on Agile methodology. Used JIRA for project progress tracking.

●        Involved in UAT calls with UAT team and resolved all the bugs raised during UAT period. Deployed the code in production after following all the necessary steps required for production code implementation.

●        The error report generated using spring batch writer.

●        Created web services as provider and consumer using SOAP for the menu entitlement system CPT and downstream system BA for user entitlements and menu selection.

●        Doing coding on Actuate11 for various Reporting: report bursting, CSV report and standard report.

●        Written library files for common functionality across all Actuate reports for our application.

●        Worked on Actuate management console for report deployment and other reporting issue.

Project: DWAC Reports

This project act as a Database for Stock Plan Administration, Record Keeping, Back Office Operations and Interface with Trading System to help companies to meet their stock plan needs. Worked on below new reports.

 Broker Deposit, Broker Invoice, Transfer Agent Instruction and Tax Withholding reports This kind of reports used for Broker deposit, invoice and transfer of order numbers during the trade. The specialty of this kind of reports is they can be generated in pdf format with signature at the end and can be mailed at desire address.

Alternative Minimum Tax Letters for Boeing

This request is for the ability to generate two Alternative Minimum Tax Letters for Boeing.  One letter includes deceased participants the other excludes the deceased participants. Letter can be generating in PDF and RTF format.

Executive compensation report

Boeing requires that we provide them with this executive compensation report (Exec Web) every Friday.

Expiration Notification Letter

When setting up systematically or on demand criteria, user requires the ability to indicate which participants/grants should appear on the report or letter.  Filtering abilities should include the following Business attributes and Operators.

Future Term Modeling Report

The Business requires a new report that will be available for use by all clients.  The report will be entitled Future Term Modeling Report.  The report will forecast the grant/award position of a participant as if they terminated on a random date in the future and term logic was applied.   This date will be selected / entered by the user.

Weekly Term Deceased Letter

This project is to create two new standard reports in letter format for the participants who have a) recently terminated or b) are deceased.

Responsibilities:

●        Have been involved in new Actuate report design and development.

●        Worked on sequential and parallel reports.

●        Developed a module which sends the generated report in pdf format by using java API.

●        Enhanced the performance of Reports by optimization of complex Queries.

●        Provided the UAT and Prod support for the newly created reports.

Module Name: ESPP (Employee Stock Purchase Plan)

Multi-Vender Development and Code Performance Improvement Design and Developed a new module ESPP (Employee Stock Purchase Plan) using Spring and iBATIS framework with different venders. This module works with existing functionality and J2EE framework with latest Spring and iBATIS framework. New developed code was tested with high volume and worked on code performance improvement for real scenarios. The Role involves close co-ordination with Client Managers and other new vender.

Responsibilities:

●        Designed new modules with Spring & iBATIS framework with existing J2EE framework.

●        Proactive analysis and development was done with new framework and functionality.

●        Requirement Analysis for the Functional & Technical specifications.

●        Worked on query optimization using access plan.

●        Written and implemented JILs for Autosys jobs.

Morgan Stanley Smith Barney has undertaken an initiative to decommission their existing record keeping systems viz. EASI and SPI (Software Product integration). As part of this initiative referred as Client Migration, data of more than 95 Clients is being converted in SAPPHIRE specific format and then migrated to SAPPHIRE by developing various uploads like PT, AU, GR, TC etc. Under the client migration initiative, I handled the migration most fortune clients like GOOGLE, AMAZON, D ell, Motorola, IBM, Philips, Nokia, Becton, Dickinson and Company, Chevron Corporation, DIRECTV, Merck & Co., Axis Capital Holdings Limited and many more

Responsibilities:

●        Analyzed Client Set-up and data formats in EASI and SPI system to prepare client migration in SAPPHIRE.

●        Conversion of Client Data in SAPPHIRE specific format for the Client migration.

●        Enhanced upload framework (written in java Stored Procedure) as per requirement.

●        Worked on query optimization using access plan.

●        Written and implemented JILs for Autosys jobs.

●        Set up a development and testing environment for Client Migration.

●        Prepare the builds and Releases for the changes being done for Client Migration.

●        Replicated the batch, online and report environments in MS platform with the help of various support groups.
