July
2005 – October 2006Itau Bank - São Paulo, SP
Java Programmer &
System Analyst – Java, Struts, UML
· PROGRAMMER
Java
Programmer at the Software Factory for Itau Bank (one of the major
Brazilian banks), in multiple Intranets. Focus on Rational Suite with
WebSphere Developer Studio, Java, JSP, Struts, HTML, Javascript, UML
reading, EJB2, DB2 SQL, Oracle SQL, mainframe integration, SAP integration.
· SYSTEM ANALYST
Due to my
internal exposure as one of the best developers in the factory (manager's
words), I received a promotion where I became hosted at a heavy demanding
client-area as their personal System Analyst. The goal was that every
working hour I had as Analyst would output 4 hours of development for the
factory.
I
implemented a workflow where the client would demand a meeting, I would
raise all his needs, then I would build a Wireframe and needed information
map for his approval. Once all information flow and layout was OK, I would
draw a detailed Sequence Diagram (UML) with every possible detail, queries,
class names, method names until there would be no doubts for any
programmer. With this documentation, I would attach to the Factory's change
management requisition.
The
results: only 2 over 100 requisitions generated very simple doubts from the
programmers, and both were cosmetics (button placement). My documentation
was so easy to read, and still so detailed, that it became an official
model for other hosted System Analysts. Also, the output reached 12 hours
of development for every hour of mine, and 100% of the requisitions were
classified by the client as 5-stars once deployed.
