Lead systems engineer for Office Depot’s DevOps E-Commerce team.   Responsible for all aspects of the Office Depot E-Commerce infrastructure including development, test, performance, proof of concept, and production environments.   Work closely with Development and Marketing teams supporting daily, weekly, and monthly updates to the E-Commerce platform providing WebSphere, Linux, Networking, Internet Security, and Internet expertise.

 

Maintain and develop infrastructure supporting continuous deployment from the Development and Marketing Agile/Scrum teams.   Set up automation to facilitate continuous deployments utilizing WebSphere, shell scripts, perl scripts, Jenkins, Ansible to support the Office Depot development cycle from Development to SQ(test) to Performance to Production.

Oversaw migration of customers from legacy Choice Point application platforms to new Lexis Nexis platforms.   Retired old Choice Point hardware and built out new Lexis Nexis infrastructure including HPCC (proprietary cluster technology) systems and systems for new initiatives.

Performed an audit and risk assessment of the company’s data backup and recovery infrastructure and delivered documentation of the current state of data protection and recommendations for addressing the problems found.
