OBJECTIVE

Utilize my academic background and skills in Engineering to contribute towards the development of the organization, to learn various technologies and also for growth of Open Source Community. Aspire to work in the field of Java/J2EE technologies involving UNIX/LINUX.

CURRENT ROLE

Currently working as Programmer Analyst with Citigroup engagement in Reference Data Management team for DSMT2 project. The project belongs to Banking and Finance Domain. Citigroup Inc. is an American multinational financial services corporation headquartered in Manhattan, New York City.

Roles and Responsibilities: Working as EBX5 Developer which involves me to work with EBX5, Java and Shell Scripting. The role involves Development and Support Activity. I am also working as PMO for the application team. The role and responsibility are described in detail in the project section.

PROJECTS WORKED ON

1. Data Standard Management Tool (DSMT)

Description:

Citigroup Inc. is an American multinational financial services corporation headquartered in Manhattan, New York City. Citigroup was formed from one of the world's largest mergers in history by combining the banking giant Citicorp and financial conglomerate Travelers Group in October 1998.

Citigroup have different subgroup so they need a place where they can manage the Master data for all the applications. DSMT manage all the reference data, DSMT is the golden source for all the reference data. DSMT is built on MDM tool EBX.

EBX is developed in java and our team is helping Citigroup to customize the EBX for manage all the data standards. DSMT manage all the data standards and have online validation of data to different standards and providing the feed to downstream applications. DSMT customize the EBX feature as per the CITI work flow standards.

Responsibilities:

◦          Responsible for writing sections of technical specifications, generating innovative approaches and solutions to problems.

◦          Involved in developing reports for different downstream applications for customized outbound

◦          Involved in implementation of Data standards using EBX.

◦          Involved in Customization of reports in in different format like CVS, TXT, and PDF.

◦          Written services to support data factory process using Java 1.6 and J2EE 1.5, and EBX API coding standards with EBX API.

2. HES-GOLD

    Description:

GOLD is considered a complete WCS. GOLD consists of several proprietary applications written in PowerBuilder, Java and               .NET application development suites running on Sybase database servers. Distribution is handled in GOLD application with               the help of some vendor applications.

Responsibilities:

·               Design and implement the existing applications in to Java based applications hence work along with the design team

·               Application support & Maintenance services on the GOLD IT Application (Distribution Services) through incidents and Change Requests within the specified SLA.

·               Keep a track on the incidents and progress made on a regular basis and provide Sybase and Java-J2EE related technical support to Technicolor.

·               Prepare user guides and documents related to various technical processes and on common incidents that occur and ensure business activities to run smoothly by avoiding minimum downtime of the applications.

·               Carry out any change requests after validating against the existing business functionality .

·               Provide sybase related solutions to Technicolor IT Team for the new requirements from the business users, discuss and advice on possible solutions to meet the same.

 

2.        SFR-BA11

Project Description: 

Back Office Document management which includes billing, archiving, reporting for the customer of SFR, which is second largest telecom provider in France.

Role: Developer- L2 and Module Lead

Responsibilities: Being a core member of the team I have worked initially with the maintenance team and later moved to role both in development and maintenance. The role involved working on the development of new requests received as evolution, enhancements and deploy them in the production. I was also working with the Maintenance team to solve the incidents in production. My role involved continuous interaction with the customers based out of Rennes (France) to understand the customer requests for enhancements or evolutions and propose solutions for the requests, interact with the production management team to understand the incidents in production, explain the cause or solution for the incident to the customer or the production management team or the French counterparts providing L1 support and provide quick resolutions. Apart from it worked with the Design Team to propose solution for remodeling of an application. Lead a team of 5 developers in the re-architecting of an existing application responsible for Administrative Mail Document management.

Onshore Assignment: Worked out of Rennes, France for duration of 5 Months in total in Front Office Role, working closely with SFR business team to work on the requests for evolution and provide the quick response and solution to the incidents raised in production.

3.        Phillips Innovative Applications

Project Description: 

Innovative Applications Development for Phillips television which are based on Digital Video Broadcasting standard. These Philips Televisions, directly worked on Satellite signals and also had support for some Social Media websites and online stores for Digital Media

Responsibilities: My role involved working on the development of the UI application using Action Script and design using Macromedia Flash. I was also responsible solely to work on the defects raised by the Testing Team in the testing phase.

4.        AISS (Adaptive Infrastructure Solutions Showcase)

Project Description: 

The building of adaptive infrastructure includes scalability of resources during failovers and ability of handling the datacenter with Virtual Server Environment intelligently.

Responsibilities: Maintain the demo environment used by Hewlett Packard to showcase the products used for server optimization and Consolidation. The role involved development and maintenance of the application developed using java for the front end and automation scripts written using shell script as the backend to showcase the scenarios for the usage of the products. Also worked on the migration of setup from rx8640 HP UX server to rx8620 HP UX server using nPars and vPars concept.

5.        AITF  (Adaptive Infrastructure Technology Foundation)

Project Description:

This is HP’s setup to showcase their various products similar to AISS but here they have emphasis on the HP Insight Orchestration Product bundles and then showcase various other products.

6.        Game Developement for Maemo

Project Description:

As part of this project I was supposed to develop Sudoku Game Application for Maemo Mobile Platform. Maemo which is Nokia's Proprietary Mobile OS.

Responsibilities: As part of this application development in the team of 3 members I was leading the team and we were required to perform the requirement gathering, design and implementation. All these were documented and had to be approved by Wipro Management to proceed with next step.

7.        Watch Guard Firewall Log Analyzer

Project Description:

This was an intranet web based portal to analyze the watch guard firerwall logs to identify the user behavior and analyze the netwrork.

Platform: Ubuntu Linux

Role: Developer

Responsibilities: I was the sole developer in this project which was for duration of 3 months where in I had to capture the requirements from network administrator and design the solution. Post that the Hadoop environment setup was setup which consisted of 20 nodes to process the data. The GUI was developed in JSP while the processing of data was done using Map Reduce code in Java.
