application Development: Enhanced the SITA Flight Finder Web Applications for
an Italian Airline (AirOne) reservation, Canada3000 Airline reservation and
in-house utility applications, and SITA Air Cargo Carriers. Environment :
ASP, JSP, HTML JavaScript and PERL. • Instituted the client/server
Configuration Management system which, for the first time, brought all
software for the project under source code control. • Enhanced communication
interface of the SITA Interline Through Check-In (ITCI) system to support
EDIFACT interchange format. • Enhanced Air Faring and E-Ticketing Interfaces.
• Enhanced the message exchange interfaces between Amadeus CRS and SITA host
servers using the MATIP (Mapping of Airline Traffic over IP) protocol for
Type A (Conversational, Host to Host) and Type B traffics. • Wrote utility
programs to allow batch files to work under different operating systems after
porting base model and test suite from Stratus/VOS to UNIX; • Evaluated,
customized, configured and administered an Issue Tracking system, Census, for
in-house and clients usage. • Developed a Gateway system to be used to bridge
the Canada3000 Tour Operator sales into SITA's Gabriel CRS (Computer Reservation
Systems) for centralized inventory control. • Initiated porting, for the
first time, the complex source base, included the application and operating
environment, from RISC platform to SUN Solaris. The application section
consisted of 36 components (70K SLOC); • Within the first month of
