Design, code and test complex, big data solutions using ETL, SQL, PERL and LINUX to support the collection and analysis of listing data in NETEZZA database for extracts to clients to support Direct Marketing and Credit & Collections.

 

Novo Nordisk – Princeton, NJ (December 2012 – December 2012)

Design, code and test solution for automatic update of zero dollar charge backs in MODELN database table with 200 million rows.

Created SQL code and bash scripts executed from cron with log and results emailed to key users.

ETL development to convert NJ CASS systems to CURAM package using Talend open source ETL tool on AIX platform.  This was a short assignment due to HP global downsizing business objective.

 

Munich Re – Princeton , NJ (1998-2010)

Develop DataStage ETL, UNIX scripts and Oracle programming converting legacy International Reinsurance systems to SAP FS-RI, FI-GL, FS-CD, and Business Partner.

 

Code complex ETL jobs using hash files, Oracle OCI, Oracle Bulk Loader, complex transformation logic routines and sequencers to transform legacy Contract Reinsurance system files to Oracle tables for loading into SAP FS-RI.

This included writing and executing over 100 validation queries using SQLPLUS with results updated in Oracle table and Excel spreadsheets for user signoff.

 

Reinsurance application programming with MicroFocus COBOL and UNIX administration for International Division.

Develop UNIX shell scripts, COBOL programs and procedures to handle critical data file transfers, and access to remote systems in Brussels, Singapore, London and Australia.

 

Develop VB macros to manipulate and format data in excel pivot tables.
