Responsible for the ongoing development and technical leadership of TireBuyer.com, a highly interactive ecommerce site that allows consumers to view tire and wheel combinations on the vehicle of their choice before making a purchase decision.  The site is linked to American Tire Distributors nationwide dealer network providing the consumer with delivery options to local dealers as well as the ability to ship to the location of their choice.  Technologies include PHP, MySQL, Java, UNIX, CVS and Jira issue tracking software.

 

●        Responsible for coordinating the development efforts of 5 programming resources assigned to the TireBuyer.com project.

●        Worked closely with Business Analysts, the Director of Enterprise Development and Director of Online Marketing to identify and define future enhancements to TireBuyer.com. 

●        Implemented SEO optimization strategies, integrated site with OpenX Ad server, ExactTarget and Test and Target content delivery tool

●        Defined product release schedule and worked with Quality Assurance team to ensure timelines were met.

●        Maintained PHP based API engine responsible for the delivery of content, product and inventory information to TireBuyer.com through an XML interface layer.

Managed projects related to Pioneer-EMS, Sixthman’s proprietary Event Management System which provides front and back office operations used to plan, monitor and fulfill Sixthman product offering. Reported to CEO. Technologies include, PHP, MySQL, UNIX, SVN, CakePHP, Zend Framework and Amazon EC2

 

●        Responsible for the design and development of Pioneer-EMS, Sixthman’s proprietary event management system written in PHP utilizing CakePHP as a framework. Provided technical leadership in the migration of this software to Zend Framework.

●        Worked with Director of New Business Development to implement and monitor new web based product offering and tools. Processes put in place allowed the organization to grow from $2,000,000 in sales in 2007 to a projected $25,000,000 in sales for the 2009-2010 fiscal years.

●        Worked with CFO to identify and implement needed PHP based financial reporting tools used to analyze and monitor each new event offering.

●        Coordinated development efforts of in-house and freelance development team throughout the Pioneer-EMS project lifecycle, including design, build, test and deployment.

●        Leveraged experience to define future technology roadmap for the company, which includes enhanced self-service reservation management offerings and the migration of current infrastructure to an Amazon EC2 solution. Defined budget and staffing requirements to implement this plan and presented to Executive staff for approval. Implementation will save an estimated $25,000 in hosting and customer support costs

Team member involved in the construction of a comprehensive scorecard used to measure the effectiveness of delivery and product management of financial products through various channels for a large financial institution. Scorecard was constructed using Siebel Analytics and Informatica PowerMart. Total project budget: $2,250,000. Technologies used include: Oracle PL/SQL and SQL*Plus, Informix ETL, MS-SQL, .Net, Access, Java, Informatica and Siebel Analytics.

Responsible for the technical leadership and mentoring of project teams in the development of thin client Java applications. Duties include application architecture design, definition of development standards, conducting design and code reviews, and project budget and resource tracking.

 

Technical Lead, Single Point of Healthcare Benefits Management Jan. 2003 – Mar. 2004

●        Technical lead in the design and construction of a Java/JSP based Healthcare Benefits Management application for a Professional Employer Organization services (PEO) provider. Total project budget of $500,000. Technologies used include: Oracle PL/SQL and SQL*Plus, Java (JSP, EJB) and Informatica.

●        Facilitated JAD sessions with Subject Matter Experts to document project scope, functional and technical requirement.

●        Managed team of six developers to ensure project remained on time and within budget.

●        Automated manual processes allowing company to expand healthcare offerings nationally. This resulted in an annual cost saving of approximately $400,000.
