#3-Project Title:
INTTRA SI
Harmonization
April 2012 – May 2012
Client:
INTTRA
Team
Size:
1
Location:
Kochi INDIA
Languages:
Perl, SQL, PL/SQL
Databases/Tools:
Oracle 10g, TOAD, SOAP UI, Perforce
Description:
INTTRA the Largest Multi-Carrier E-Commerce
Platform for Global Shipping enables shippers, freight forwarders,
third-party logistics providers, brokers and importers to electronically
plan, process and manage their shipments fast and efficiently, replacing the
traditional use of faxes and phone calls. The goal of the project is to
integrate Vortex (channel to place shipping orders) with single supplemental
validation service to reduce amount of duplicate business logic processing.
Validation service can be implemented as non-invasive addition to the current
process in order to reduce the percentage of rejected transactions, thus not
reducing the overall volume processed by INTTRA. Channel specific validations
have been replaced with centralized validation services. In addition, the
Vortex SI channel will now be forced to utilize the same validation routines,
contrary to current implementation where only a minimal validation is
performed.
As part of the validation service INTTRA can
begin accessing carrier systems through Web Service Interface to obtain up to
date and/or near real time carrier specific validation information (i.e. list
of voyage numbers, supported container numbers, etc...).
Responsibilities:
- Single point of contact for client
interaction during requirements analysis phase till production rollout.
- Integrated SI Channel with validation
service by creating xml file using XML Path, SOAP Lite & Digest
MD5 algorithms and also helped the INTTRA Administrators in setting
up the environment to accommodate the new changes.
- Created Complex Perl scripts which
will create XML file and invoke Web Service to perform Business
validation using SOAP module and DBI module.
