Application Quality Analyst

·         Worked in the System Test Execution and Automation team in the Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP) which is designed to help as many as 3 to 4 million financially struggling homeowners avoid foreclosure by modifying loans to a level that is affordable for borrowers now and sustainable over the long term.

·         Setting up environments by deploying the desired code and database versions to execute Smoke Test, Regression, Progression or ETL/Outbound/Report Testing in different environments.

·         Backup, Restore and Partition the database tables using the RCB utility

·         Performed setting up of various folder structures which are needed for the automation execution scripts which involve QTP scripts using Quality Center as well as for manual execution.

·         Performed manual execution by running Autosys batch jobs on Unix servers and performed FTP jobs to transfer data from the VOB to the testing servers using Toad, Putty and WINSCP.

·         Executed test scripts and automation workflows from Quality Center for the HAMP System   Test team.

·         Involved in Defect Tracking during the execution process of batch jobs using ClearQuest.

·         Use SQL queries in Toad to validate that the Autosys batch jobs have run correctly.

·         Perform and monitor test execution, evaluate test results and follow up with developers on the resolution of identified defects which appears in log files.

·         Provided detailed QA estimates and timelines for various testing cycles in the release period

·         Created the QA Project Plan Document and reported to the manager on a weekly basis.

·         Created Test Cases and Scripts on the basis of various scenarios and got approval within the team as well as the Business team

·         Created the RTM to map Requirements to test case coverage.

Quality Assurance Engineer

·         Being a part of the Quality Assurance and Configuration Management team to deliver web-based business applications like CDARS(Certificate of Deposit Account Registry Service) application and ICS(Insured Cash Sweep) applications at Promontory.

·         Played a major part as a member of the Scrum Team to develop features for CDARS and ICS using a balance of Agile Methodology and the SDLC

·         Testing of applications and features which mainly involved development of websites and user screens usually pertaining to creation and management of accounts, customers, orders and transactions as well as verification of a variety of period ending reports required by the banks.

·         Testing of web based screens which create parameters for sending customized reports between the banks and Promontory using FTP

·         Defined and developed quality assurance plans and test cases by analyzing business/technical requirements and system designs like use cases.

·         Developed automated test scripts for CDARS and ICS applications using Quick Test Professional for various Account Management screens

·         Prepared and executed both manual and automated test scripts utilizing effective quality assurance standards.

·         Documented test results, revised quality assurance plans, test cases and scripts as needed and reran test scripts to verify results.

·         Reported and tracked discrepancies between requirements and the software solution and worked with team members to interpret test results and devise solutions to remedy issues.

·         Effectively utilized open source tools such as Bugzilla for issue tracking and CVS for configuration management.

·         Widely used CVS to manage code by creating and merging branches from and into the mainline, tagging and updating code in the repository.

·         Effectively used scripts and commands to build, deploy and configure code in various environments on different servers using UNIX

·         Identified and evaluated testing and productivity tools like Test Director, Load Runner and Talend that facilitated and automated testing of various application components

Software Engineer

·         Being the System Test Development Lead for the Picture, Camera and Video Camera Functional Area in Multimedia Applications for 3G and GSM cell phones

·         Responsibilities include overseeing development of test cases for features as well as any validation, enhancement or cleanup activity done by the system test teams located overseas.

·         Responsibilities include reviewing the Feature MRS and TRS with the Technical Marketing Team, carrying out Escaped Defect Analysis for software as well as testware defects and brainstorm process improvements with the System Test Execution Team.

·         Have also been the primary lead for Feature and Integration Testing for the Multimedia Application team on all GSM, CDMA and 3G products.

·         Created testing documents and strategies, using testing tools, test automation and also coordinated testing activities with teams located overseas.

·         Played a major part for the Multimedia Quality and Proactive Triage team in reducing defects on Multimedia on various 3G, GSM and CDMA phones. Took the lead in creating and maintaining the Multimedia Hotline which proactively contacts various test/marketing teams so as to catch defects in the product as soon as possible.

·         Responsibilities included being the primary lead in the Multimedia Application CCB which is driving the effort to reduce Multimedia defects in the product while it is in System Test and Field Test.

·         Designed and Implemented Multimedia Hotline 2 which uses a Characterization Wizard to help eliminating redundancy while tracking down defects in products

·         Trained Test and other teams around the globe to utilize the Hotline 2 interface

·         Involved in creating Requirement documents like Marketing Requirement Specifications (MRS)  for various multimedia features.

·         Extensively used Motorola Tools like Dissect, DDTS and DOORS to validate testing and change request activities with requirements.

·         Developed software for features like Delete on Download and File Handling for 3G and GSM Products in a managed UNIX and NT environment using Clearcase. Wrote Requirement and Design documents for the same.
