Application Quality Analyst

·         Worked in the System Test Execution and Automation team in the Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP) which is designed to help as many as 3 to 4 million financially struggling homeowners avoid foreclosure by modifying loans to a level that is affordable for borrowers now and sustainable over the long term.

·         Setting up environments by deploying the desired code and database versions to execute Smoke Test, Regression, Progression or ETL/Outbound/Report Testing in different environments.

·         Backup, Restore and Partition the database tables using the RCB utility

·         Performed setting up of various folder structures which are needed for the automation execution scripts which involve QTP scripts using Quality Center as well as for manual execution.

·         Performed manual execution by running Autosys batch jobs on Unix servers and performed FTP jobs to transfer data from the VOB to the testing servers using Toad, Putty and WINSCP.

·         Created testing documents and strategies, using testing tools, test automation and also coordinated testing activities with teams located overseas.

·         Played a major part for the Multimedia Quality and Proactive Triage team in reducing defects on Multimedia on various 3G, GSM and CDMA phones. Took the lead in creating and maintaining the Multimedia Hotline which proactively contacts various test/marketing teams so as to catch defects in the product as soon as possible.

·         Responsibilities included being the primary lead in the Multimedia Application CCB which is driving the effort to reduce Multimedia defects in the product while it is in System Test and Field Test.

·         Designed and Implemented Multimedia Hotline 2 which uses a Characterization Wizard to help eliminating redundancy while tracking down defects in products

·         Trained Test and other teams around the globe to utilize the Hotline 2 interface

·         Involved in creating Requirement documents like Marketing Requirement Specifications (MRS)  for various multimedia features.

·         Extensively used Motorola Tools like Dissect, DDTS and DOORS to validate testing and change request activities with requirements.

·         Developed software for features like Delete on Download and File Handling for 3G and GSM Products in a managed UNIX and NT environment using Clearcase. Wrote Requirement and Design documents for the same.
