Responsible for architecting and implementing Linux
infrastructure to support Open Source development technologies in an Agile DevOps
environment.

Manage a combination of 350 virtual and physical Windows,
Red Hat and Ubuntu Servers.

Responsible for implementing a Multi Master Replicated
central authentication system for Linux Servers - OpenLDAP. OpenLDAP also
served as a central point to control access to servers, grant sudo rights and
control data access between users.

Responsible for implementing a monitoring system – Nagios/Icinga.
Implemented custom monitoring scripts, custom notification scripts, RRD
integration with monitoring, and LDAP authentication for the monitoring GUI. Also
implemented a GUI to make configuring Icinga easy.

management system – Spacewalk/Satellite Server and updating servers on a set
schedule.

Responsible for determining configuration
management needs and defining, writing and pushing out Chef recipes.

Daily tasks include creating LDAP accounts, provisioning
servers, troubleshooting servers, automating repetitive tasks, setting up VMs
on Hyper-V, kernel tuning and anticipating and responding to development
