Responsible for architecting and implementing Linux infrastructure to support Open Source development technologies in an Agile DevOps environment.

·         Manage a combination of 350 virtual and physical Windows, Red Hat and Ubuntu Servers.

·         Responsible for implementing a Multi Master Replicated central authentication system for Linux Servers - OpenLDAP. OpenLDAP also served as a central point to control access to servers, grant sudo rights and control data access between users.

·         Responsible for implementing a monitoring system – Nagios/Icinga. Implemented custom monitoring scripts, custom notification scripts, RRD integration with monitoring, and LDAP authentication for the monitoring GUI. Also implemented a GUI to make configuring Icinga easy.

·         Responsible for implementing a central patch management system – Spacewalk/Satellite Server and updating servers on a set schedule.

·         Responsible for determining configuration management needs and defining, writing and pushing out Chef recipes.

·         Daily tasks include creating LDAP accounts, provisioning servers, troubleshooting servers, automating repetitive tasks, setting up VMs on Hyper-V, kernel tuning and anticipating and responding to development needs.

·         Responsibilities also include setting up SAN multipathing, setting up LDAP configurations on clients, clearing Icinga/Nagios alerts and mentoring two associate System Administrators and one System Administrator.
