of various Oracle databases acquired by RBS into the Bank’s support
environment and moving them to Edinburgh. Ensuring the integration databases
met RBS standards for backups, monitoring layout and putting in place where
there are capability gaps. In total there are about 40 Oracle production and
70 support systems.

Championed
the re-design of several anti-money laundering system in line with BOE
regulations. Anti money laundering system implementation for detecting and
reporting on fraudulent and suspicious financial transactions across borders.

Integrating
the Direct Line Finance, Lombard Direct, Virgin One and World Pay Systems
into the RBS architecture.
·
Knowledge
transfer and mentoring of 10graduate employees on Oracle technologies and
interoperability with other databases.

Designed
and wrote and tuned generic PL/SQL code to load the database schemas. We used
metadata stored in the database to configure the load functionality. This
improved maintainability of the code made subsequent loaders quick to develop
and deploy.

Reworked
overnight batches and halved the batch time by rewriting some of the code.
·
Responsible
for designing and implementing PL/SQL packages and procedures from functional
specifications written by business analysts.

Production
of DDL scripts from Oracle Designer models to build test and production
databases, including specifications to developers and arranging testing of
production code.
