PROJECTS:

 

1)      VFS (Visa Facilitation Service)

The application is built using Core Java, J2EE and Struts for the embassy of Finland and Russia inorder to view the Visa applications filled in by the applicants online and approve or reject the same. This application is to be used  by authorities like Visa Officer, Extended Visa Officer. The various documents submitted by the applicants are stored using FileNet (Document Management System, by IBM) which supports XML documents, Web Pages, photos, images.

 

2)      FFCL (First Flight Courier Services)

This application is built using Core Java, Struts, Spring and Hibernate for the employees/customers of First Flight Courier Services to carry out the daily transactions like Booking, Pickup, Dispatch, Load Management, User Management and so on. The application is deployed at various Hubs, Branches and Regional Head Offices of the client across India and at the same time is available online for the customers to view their booking status online.

PROJETS

 

1)      RDIP (Retail Distribution of Investment Products)

RDIP project was created due to a regulation for safeguarding the customers from financial risk. The project included introducing profiling for All Citibank Online Customers. Based on the profiling rating, customers were allowed to access the different financial products. The project scope included applications like Mutual Funds, Buy Sell FX, Time Deposits etc. and was built using Java and Struts Framework.

 

2)      Online Forms

This is a pre-login application where a customer needs to fill up forms online in order to open an account with Citibank. The access to these forms is made available through the Citibank Portal and many third party sites such as Airline Reservation, Hotel Booking etc. Along with Analysis, Design and Coding I have also been responsible for implementing Captcha. In order to avoid Bruce force attack Captcha was made a part of this form, wherein a user needs to enter the characters generated in the Captcha image in order to proceed.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

Major roles and responsibilities include collaborating with the customers to understand and clarify the functional requirements. Worked on designing the program modules using tools like Star UML and creating a detailed design document with ER diagrams, Sequence daigrams and flowcharts. Part of the complete software development lifecycle using Agile methodology. Building web based applications using technologies like Java, J2EE, Struts, Spring, Hibernate. Coding and testing individual modules to ensure high quality of software was delivered. Actively supported the SIT and UAT phases of the project. I have also been responsible for performing code reviews and monitoring  junior team members.
