Intelligent, versatile Software Engineer with a high academic background and 2+ years of programming

experience in the industry. Proficient in Java based software development with a passion for Computer

Algorithms, Software Design and Software Architecture. Desire to build a professional relationship with a

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Employed at WSO2 Inc. (www.wso2.com) as a Software Engineer since November 2012 to present,

working on the open source project “WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)”. Responsible for

enhancing, maintaining and providing customer support for WSO2 ESB, a high performance, feature

rich, standard compliant ESB in the open source market. Have contributed to WSO2 ESB releases

4.7.0, 4.8.0 and 4.8.1 and got involved in customer engagements in the US to support production

ESB installations.

Oriented Enterprise Integration

• Worked as a Software Engineer at DirectFN (www.directfn.com) for eight months (March to October

2012) developing and improving a J2EE application server which provides share market price related

data to thousands of front-end client applications. Created a light weight in-memory cache module

in a custom made router service which gave the main server the ability to function with a minimum

amount of recourses which provide critical data.

• Internship - Worked as a trainee Software Engineer for six months at Arthur C Clarke Institute for

Modern Technologies (ACCIMT) (www.accimt.ac.lk) and was involved in developing the Insurance

system for Sanasa Insurance Company Ltd and the Library Management System for Buddhist and Pali

University of Sri Lanka.

OTHER PROJECTS

• Contributed to Apache Synapse which is the mediation engine used in WSO2 ESB. Added OCSP/CRL

certificate verification functionality to Apache Synapse 3.0 which is yet to be released and did major

improvements to its HTTP/S transport which is also the primary transport in WSO2 ESB.

• Final year project at the university “ESBhive” - Added distributed capabilities to “WSO2 ESB” where

several ESBs would work collaboratively as a cluster in a networked environment. Along with three

other team members, achieved fault tolerance, load balancing, scalability and removed the problem

of single point of failure.

• Developed a Text Search Engine in C for Linux Systems similar to Grep.

• Made a Firefighting Robot as a group project at the University for the course module Robotics. The

robot was designed using a PIC microcontroller to detect IR light emitted from candles in a dark

environment and reach them to extinguish the flames using a small fan.
