Description:

Helped convert forms, provided advanced scripting to back up the designer from Caltrans, redesigned web site and forms portal that Caltrans maintains for sharing information within Caltrans to make users more effective and increase the speed and accuracy of the information flow.

There have been three major phases in the Caltrans Project.  The first phase was converting all of the paper forms to FormFlow (CEFS version 1.0).  The second phase started in 2003 converting all of the forms from FormFlow to Adobe LiveCycle (CEFS version 2.x).  The third phase has been to update the forms to include more intelligence and integrate them into the processes and databases currently used by the department (CEFS 3.0).

The Payroll Tax Exception Handling System enables The San Francisco Treasurers office to manage the processing of Tax Returns, routing them to the appropriate groups for parallel handling of each exception or updating of information. This system manages data, forms and image files, quickly and easily over San Francisco’s network architecture, including their Intranet, LANs and WANs. In addition, it and provides the tools necessary to integrate with San Francisco’s existing data systems. The Family San Francisco Treasurers office replaced their manual backend exceptions handling process with Adobes LiveCycle Payroll Tax Exception Handling system, a server based solution that processes thousands of documents as well as providing users with presorted work to reduce wasted time, then automating the archiving of all documents related to the Return and its handling.
