Computer Network Systems, Inc.
Sales Engineer & Customer Service Supervisor – Having worked with this small computer
integration startup to procure network system components for my previous employer, I came to
CNS in the capacity of a senior field technician. Several of my previous network clients helped
to grow the CNS client base as I provided implementation, integration, maintenance and service
skills on multiple projects as a customer engineer to over 75 separate clients. Acting as a
project manager on some jobs, I was responsible for keeping projects on task, on time and on
budget while managing the customer relationship. Communication skills were a top requisite to

job requirements was to provide technical expertise and closure to projects that required
additional attention. Promotion to Sales Engineer in November of 2000 added new job

price. The project manager then used these project scopes to keep the job on task and within
budget. Field technicians also utilized these project scopes to perform the actual work. The
accuracy and timeliness of providing project scopes were important to the entire job flow and
enabled the company to grow in size and revenue. Other job requirements included the
implementation and installation projects of greater degree of difficulty. These projects included
Email migrations, data migrations, firewall / VPN product installations and corporate anti-virus
product implementation. Provision of back office support to field technicians and telephone
support to customers was also required, while maintaining an Internet online knowledge base.
