- present I’ve worked as the Sr. Network Engineer
within the ITSS organization of Hitachi America (HAL) since Aug of ’07. My
primary focus has been on project as well as operational support of a
security infrastructure for an external client… most of my time is spent
working on a security infrastructure consisting of approx 20-25 CheckPoint on
Nokia firewalls, with some time spent supporting BlueCoat proxies, Cisco VPN
concentrators, Cisco ASA/FWSM security appliances, etc. Some of my

Systems Admin in what was then called the 'core' group... duties included
co-management of all central UNIX core servers (NIS, DNS, mail, NTP, central
depot software servers, etc). Was later responsible for the core Network
Appliance file server infrastructure (5-7 systems)... these systems hosted
all user-community home directories, various UNIX depot software directories,
etc. In late 1999, was then transferred over to the network security
group where I worked as a security administrator managing approx. 50+
firewalls worldwide. Corporate firewalls were either Sun-based or Nokia-based
platforms running CheckPoint v4.0 through to NG/FP3... job duties included

(consisting of several Exabyte mammoth tape drives in a central juke box
