IT Project Manager (Contractor)

I manage the Paradies’ Network Infrastructure Upgrade project. This project involves upgrading and replacing their legacy network in 75 airport locations and 653 stores, throughout North America.   I manage the deployment and implementation of new circuits and broadband hardware for the Point of Sale (POS) systems and the new network infrastructure at each location.  I also manage the project’s budget, vendor relationships for the network infrastructure upgrade, infrastructure scheduling and deployments with the General Managers, and interoffice resources for the purpose of data gathering location and site specific information.  I work closely with the vendor to schedule ISP provisioning, site and circuit surveys, and cutovers for each location and site.  I approve sales orders and I provide weekly executive summaries for the project and business stakeholders.  I also coordinate network portal training for the Paradies help desk personnel.

Tivoli Architect/Tools Specialist (Contractor)

Coty is the 2nd largest fragrance company in the world and I was responsible for solving and repairing critical monitoring issues in their enterprise with ITM, Transaction Tracking, and Application Performance Management (APM) applications.  The focused of the contract included fixing ITM issues related to misconfigured situations with their Windows and AIX agents, TSRM and email issues from ITM situation ‘take actions’, and historical collections that weren’t configured properly.  I created synthetic transactions for their critical HTTP and SAP applications, with Rational Performance Tester (RPT) and configured for the Robotic Response Time agent.  I managed the installation of Jazz for Service Management, Smart Cloud Application Performance Management and configured both the DASH and APM user interfaces with their connections to ITM and Netcool OMNIbus.  Designed and configured test DASH boards and SCAPM UI’s for validating data source connections.  I demonstrated DASH board functionalities and capabilities to the customer for future integration efforts with additional Tivoli products like Netcool’s TIP, TADDM, TSM, and TSRM. I created custom workspaces for the Tivoli Enterprise Portal (TEP) with logical views of AIX and Windows custom situations.  I provided on-the-job training to the ITM administrators, created deployment summary documentation including “As-Built” and future architectural/design plans and presentations.

Tivoli Architect/Tools Specialist (Contractor)

I worked in two roles for the Walgreens company one of the largest Point of Sales (POS) Tivoli implementation in the world with over 78,000 agents in over 8,600 stores.  My first role included managing and supporting the central, store and user acceptability testing (UAT) ITM environments. These duties included creating and adding new custom situations and agents to existing and new POS systems, creating custom workspaces in the TEP and providing agent installations to new servers.   I managed the new POS image build project that deployed RPM’s to all of the 8,600 stores for their new SUSE 10.x servers.  My second role was managing the new UAT build which included installing and configuring older and newer Tivoli applications including ITM, ITCAM for Application Diagnostics, Jazz for Service Management and Smart Cloud Application Performance Management (SCAPM).  I managed and connected ITM resources to Jazz for Service Management for custom DASH board designs and to Application Performance Management for its user interface.  Provided on-the-job support for Walgreens off-shore support team in India and provided on the job training to junior administrator and management.

Responsible for monitoring the ground systems that provide national weather forecasts for the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite - R Series (GOES-R) program at NOAA.  Planned and designed ITM architectures, ITM implementations and the deployment of its components with maintenance in 6 separate ITM environments including production. Monitoring for GOES-R and its ground systems, included monitoring Red Hat Enterprise Linux v6.3 servers/blades and workstations, along with Windows 2008 servers and various integrated Tivoli products for event correlations(OMNIbus), network(ITNM), business services(TBSM), service desk (TSRM), SANs and middleware (Oracle/Weblogic, DB2) processes with ITCAM for Applications. Developed custom ITM agents for scripts, SNMP gets, JDBC and JMX resources with the Agent Builder. Integrated ITM (Maximo Agent) with Service Desk along with gateway interface to Netcool/OMNIbus.  Developed project and test plans with test cases to validate enterprise monitoring requirements based on server/workstations resources and business requirements and processes. Participated in the actual test cases and deployed the final product through baseline for the final release. Provided project management and subject matter expertise through architecture design, documentation, testing and on-the-job training for most users, testers and sustainment teams of the product.

Upgraded ITM from version 6.2.0.5 to 6.2.2FP1 and ITCAM for WAS/J2EE from version 6.1.0.5 to ITCAM for Application Diagnostics v7.1 (split management server) to support Disney’s applications with WebSphere and J2EE platforms.  Installed and configured TEMA’s for WebSphere and J2EE data collectors.  Installed and configured OMEGAMON XE for Messaging (MQ) TEMA’s.
