Nov 2000 - Present Senior Software EngineerWas involved in design and
development SILVX NMS and SILVX OSS. SILVX NMS is a rules based,
client-server like NMS developed to empower any network with management,
service creation, and next generation planning, at a carrier-class level of
redundancy and reliability equal to the finest SONET/SDH network. Embedded
intelligence enables true end-to-end performance management, with maximum
utilization of existing bandwidth capacity and the ability to automatically
provision lightpaths across any number of connected nodes, regardless of
topology. Fully integrated with Sycamore's BroadLeaf routing and signaling
software, SilvxManager simplifies service creation and performance monitoring
directly from the optical layer with point-and-click ease and speed, allowing
the fast and flexible introduction of new services. SilvxOSS, a sophisticated
interface between the Intelligent Optical Network and the current
back-office, provides a best-in-class solution for managing optical services
in an open, multivendor environment. * Implementation responsibilities*
Writing Design Specifications.* Implementation of FCAPS functionality for
SILVX NMS* Implementation of a unified Common Element Interface to diverse
Network Elements.* Implemented CORBA based OSS with various provisioning and
service management features. * Developed SNMP & CORBA based northbound
interfaces to SILVX NMS* Developed CLI for Corba based OSS solution*
Developed HotStandby feature for high availability and fault tolerance.*
Worked on some Telecordia based standards.* Team size : 50* Environment: *
CORBA Visibroker 4.5 , Orbix2000 v1.2.1, Java 2.0 ,RMI, SNMP,MIBs, ORACLE |

Quincy MA Aug 96 - Nov 2000 Software EngineerProject-1Was involved in design
and development of GCAS - a workflow system for the Corporate Actions Team.
This application was deployed in a distributed environment. Many features of
distributed computing were exploited by using Corba and Java.* Implementation
responsibilities* Development of CORBA services , the Data Manager,
ScreenManager for storing and retrieving serialized screens and objects.*
Development of GUI Components framework employing JavaBeans Component Development
Model to achieve customization and reuse. * Used XML to transfer composite
objects from the backend to the client for rendering.* Used Java Servlets,
Applets & EJB to develop health-check monitors for the back-end services*
Planning Project Deliverables, Effort Estimation and Scheduling to meet
project deadlines.* Team size : 20* Environment: * Visibroker 3.2, Java 2.0 ,
JavaBeans, EJB, XML Project-2Worked on a Multi-threaded mission-critical,
high performance Cost Basis Accounting Engine for Fidelity Investments. The
key objectives of the project were to exploit the CPU and other system
resources and achieve high performance ( 80% of Oracle TPCD benchmark ) with
more than a million transactions per day. OCI was used to persist the
Accounting Objects ( stored as compressed blobs ) into the Oracle Database.*
Implementation responsibilities* Developed an object oriented &
thread-safe storage classes that are used to build Acounting Objects in
memory and perform memory-intensive computations. The storage classes were
implemented using the standard Interface-Implementation concept. The classes
designed were generic and had to operate on diferent data types that are
submitted in the ISO Format. Many Powerful C++ techniques like Reference
Counting, Handle-Implementation, Iterators, Proxy Templates were employed.*
Developed the database access library using OCI calls to persist data into
the ORACLE database. Team size : 15* Environment: * IBM RS/6000, AIX, POSIX
threads, C++, ORACLE, Rogue Wave Tools.h++, Dbtools.h++, Pkware compression
libraries, OOD using Fusion methodology |

capacity.* Developed interfaces using SNMP to monitor health of the switches
and optical storage devices* Aging of data and transparent migration of data
to various storage devices.* Developing complex trace/search for the CDR
details.* Extensively used HP-Fusion for the complete life-cycle analysis,
design, coding and maintenance. Used Rogue Wave foundation classes for
implementing container classes. Collectable Objects, Intrusive Lists and
Iterators. * Team size : 18* Environment: * SNMP, MIBs, ORACLE, HP-UX, Rogue

@Deutsche Bank Singapore Jan 94 -
June 95Software EngineerWas involved in the design and development of their
DB Trader System. DB Trader is an application Software which aids in Trading,
Investment Banking and Portfolio Management System for Deutsche Bank. This
system was highly parameterized and was integrated with many external
interfaces ( eg Swift Network, Telekurs, General Ledger Systems.). I was
involved in design & development of automation of scheduling batch jobs(
like End of Day operations) to improve datacenter productivity. The user thru
a GUI can create a sequence of jobs and build a dependency tree to make sure
that parallel jobs could be executed cocurrently. The system eliminates
manual error and facilitates parallel stream of jobs to be executed and
interdependent jobs to be controlled. The X windows based activity monitor
provides a management station to control and monitor the status of the jobs
running, aborted etc. This project exploited network programming in a
network-centric environment maximizing capacity utilization, load balancing
of resources and providing a complete data center management solution.*
Implementation responsibilities* Developing online communication interfaces
for Telekurs price download and upload. It was done using TCP/IP socket
programming, HBX PAD on X.25 by polling for a standard port to get the latest
prices of the stocks from Telekurs.* Developing online communication
interfaces with the SWIFT Network. Automated both the incoming and outgoing
SWIFT messages. It was done using TCP/IP socket programming and the interface
was between RS6000 and ST200(Burroughs Machine)* Developing programs to
manage the pert chart ( add jobs, provide inputs to jobs, dependent jobs )*
Developing user interface that provides run-time status of the jobs to the
data center operator* Team size : 25* Environment: * IBM RS/6000,AIX 3.2 ,
