·                       Hired as the organizations first senior IT leader providing leadership and direction to a small IT team, outside services, and multiple businesses.

·                       Led the successful integration of an acquired manufacturing operation, including implementing SAP, Infrastructure integration and consolidation, and implementation of a shared service staffing model.

·                       Implemented an IT governance program to improve project on-time, on-budget delivery. Projects are now evaluated and prioritized based on their business value, and implemented using standard PMI methodology and templates.

·                       Infrastructure reliability issues required me to re-architect the infrastructure to improve scalability and reliability, and bolster DR.  I used a combination of cloud for commodity systems, virtualization for internal servers, and AWS for web hosting leading to lower costs and improved reliability.

·                       Hired to lead a team of 25 infrastructure and applications professionals with a budget exceeding $12 MM. Main goal was to improve service at a lower cost structure.

·                       Developed and implemented Project/Program Management methodology to facilitate delivering projects on time, and within budget, and scope. The new PM methodology increased on-time and on-budget delivery to 98%.

·                       New JD Edwards’s features in the One World product and the ability to automate business processes facilitated the re-implementation of JD Edwards for this organization.  Upfront training and solid PM provided for an easy implementation and huge gains in business process efficiencies.

·                       Lowered IT costs by 18% and improved user satisfaction to 97% by outsourcing user training and first level support functions, implemented a shared service framework, and improved our relationship management processes. 

·                       Saved an additional 21% a year, by sourcing new vendors, renegotiating contracts for data center equipment, software, and Voice/Data circuits.

·                       Managed the development of several custom applications.  The systems included an asset management/lease management system, Intranet, customer work order portal and a charge back system. These systems provided a cost savings of $300K.

·                       Worked with an outsourced vendor to develop a branded and saleable CRM product to support the business needs of a technology savvy broker or agent. The product was a huge success.  It had great reviews and sold over 1200 copies in 2 years.

·                       Key team member that led and managed the development of a multi-million dollar internally developed “back office” web and client server application utilizing Microsoft development technology.  The system streamlined the Real Estate transaction process, improved data accuracy, and improved our collection’s day’s outstanding metric, with significant headcount savings.

·                       Directed the development of Century 21’s Internet site, the first to include listings from other brands.  It was a precursor to move.com which was later sold to realtor.com. The site won several awards including a JD Power and a WebAward.

·                       Led the IT due diligence and integration for an M&A target focused on helping customers move, by disconnecting and connecting utilities.  This new offering provided a competitive advantage to Cendant brands and was later copied by other Real Estate organizations.
