·         Saved over $200,000 in maintenance fees for outdated Firewall, Anti-Virus and Proxy Server technologies through:

 

Ø       Implementation of Juniper SSG 500 series firewall and NetScreen Security Manager, which centralized management and monitoring of all corporate Juniper firewalls.

 

Ø       Migration to TrendMicro Enterprise Anti-Virus Suite, which detected and removed over 50,000 previously undetected instances of malware on over 1,200 endpoints.

 

Ø       Deployment of BlueCoat Proxy SG appliance, which replaced 35 remote Novell BorderManager servers and centralized enterprise Internet connectivity through corporate DS3 WAN links.

 

·         Researched, architected, selected vendor and managed implementation of the Cisco Unified Wireless Networking solution, which standardized wireless network security and access on 802.11n protocol across 35 sites and identified major security threats in the form of rogue, unmanaged access points.

 

·         Evaluated, selected and implemented SurfControl WebFilter, which maximized available network bandwidth by reducing HTTP traffic on corporate WAN by 40%, and provided a high-visibility deterrent to potential internal security threats.
