Experience
Solutions Architect at Dell
July 2009 - Present (6 years 4 months)
I am the lead network architect with Dell's Cloud Center of Excellence. Within my role, I am responsible
for network / platform infrastructure architecture and design as related to commercial and open source
Cloud based products and services. The sales organization leverages the CoE for technical assurances when
presenting solutions to customers. I am often asked to engage the customer along side sales resources to help
identify and validate and create architectural solutions. Once the architecture is accepted, I am often engaged
as a primary resource to stand up the first iterations of more complex solutions in order to achieve customer
acceptance.
Platform Architect at Autodesk
April 2007 - March 2009 (2 years)
Our products and services are presented through a SaaS model [Software as a Service]. The enterprise
consists of multiple global datacenters hosting a myriad of collaborative applications [buzzsaw,
constructw@re, green building studios, freewheel, content search engines…]. The solutions are geared
toward presenting SaaS solutions for collaboration and calculation/simulations supporting construction
and real estate. The “box product” line has been engineered with hooks into the SaaS platform. This
presents our customers with the ability to perform critical functions such as QTO [quantity take off], carbon
footprint impact analysis during the modeling phase of architecture and other key steps performed during the

ISO GAP analysis (SAS70/27001/FedRAMP)
architecture phase. I created and implemented architecture changes to enhance the delivery of products and
services. My role included enterprise architecture, contingency planning and troubleshooting of escalated
complex customer and platform issues.
Manager, DCO at Ellie Mae
November 2006 - April 2007 (6 months)
The organization has both ASP and stand alone platforms for the mortgage industry. Approximately Fortyfive
percent of all loans transacted in the U.S. are originated with Ellie Mae's Encompass products and
services. As manager of data center operations I was responsible for all public facing products and service
offerings. Our topology consists of multiple data center environments located throughout California
and Illinois. Ellie Mae hired me on to assist in taking the organization to the next evolution. Ellie Mae’s
customers and partners are growing at such an expedient rate that product acceptance outpaced the
architecture. I made significant changes within the infrastructure, process and resources available with
extremely positive results. The datacenter was experiencing a 2 day MTBF prior to the re-architecture.
Once the uplift was performed we maintained a 99.999 SLA for our customers. This increased product
adoption and allowed further on boarding of customers due to the efficiency enhancements. This allowed
27% customer growth in a single year.
Datacenter Manager, Development and Quality Assurance at Cisco
January 1999 - November 2006 (7 years 11 months)
In this role I was responsible for the development and quality assurance infrastructure supporting the
creation of set top operating systems utilized within the cable and television industry. The laboratory
footprint encompassed domestic and international site locations I was invited to be a member of the Global
Security Council and Global Subscriber Network Team. I participated in the assessment, definition, and
execution of global networking and platform infrastructure solutions. This level of responsibility started
when PowerTV was acquired by Scientific Atlanta in 2003, and was increased again in February 2006 as this
newly combined company was merged yet again into a much larger company, Cisco Systems.
Sr. Network Engineer, Team lead at Applied Materials
March 1996 - January 1999 (2 years 11 months)
Primary duties included design/maintenance/administration of domestic and international network
infrastructure, administration of Windows NT deployment, core system backup/restores and tier III support
for helpdesk related issues. When Applied Materials purchased ETEC, I worked on the core integration team.
