July 2014 to Present – Verizon – Senior Architect

§    Senior Architect (2014) – Developed requirements, architected and designed APIs for Secure Cloud Interconnect (SCI), which provides a network-secured connection between supported clouds and SaaS solutions.  It is currently available worldwide.  The API will be released in 2016.

§    Senior IoT Architect (2015) – Developed requirements and architected services for Thingspace, which is an Internet of Things (IoT) platform providing support across Verizon IoT initiatives.  It was released in Oct 2015 and supports projects within Smart Cities, transportation and healthcare domains.

June 2011 to March 2014 – Cloud Technology Partners – Senior Solutions Architect

§    Senior Solutions Architect (2014) – Developed a service offering for rollout of application migration services for two of CTP’s products, PaaSLane and the Application Decision Studio (ADS), including sample deliverables, templates and an annotated implementation guide for new CTP resources.

§    Senior Solutions Architect (2013) – Developed an implementation Cloud Reference Architecture, roadmap and TCO for a leading US home health care business to assist in replacing their aging core systems with a cloud solution.  It was designed to be implemented in any of Amazon AWS, Google App Engine or SalesForce Service Cloud and is expected to be completed in 2016.

§    Senior Systems Analyst (2013) – Evaluated an application portfolio for cloud readiness for a Fortune 100 insurance client for their VMware private cloud initiative using an enhanced ADS to assist in deciding which apps can be migrated in what timeframe with what amount of effort.  The core enterprise app migration effort is was expected to be completed in 2016.

§    Senior Solutions Architect (2013) – Oversaw selection and deployment of Cloud Management Platform (CMP) for Fortune 10 client’s Commercial Cloud initiative, which was a foundation of their enterprise cloud native application development and app migration strategy in 2013; it used ServiceMesh, OpenStack and AWS.

§    Senior Systems Analyst (2012) – Evaluated an enterprise metadata repository and data warehousing VMware based private cloud solution for leading custodial bank.  It was released as an enterprise product in 2013.

§    Senior Solutions Architect (2012) –Enhanced a Cloud Reference Architecture to use a client specific technology model for a top 3 international publishing firm, including an automated code level assessment using PaaSLane of the effort to move key apps to an Amazon AWS solution.  It was completed in 2015.

§    Senior Solutions Architect (2011) – Developed a Platform as a Service (PaaS) Reference architecture for a top 3 international insurer, including an implementation roadmap, first draft cloud migration framework (which became ADS), PaaS vendor review, cloud maturity model and an application migration strategy.  It was used as a standard for PaaS services in 2012.

August 2008 to June 2011 – Azis Software Corporation – Senior Software Architect

§    Senior Integration Architect/PM (2010/2011) – Architected and acted as Project Manager for Interchange, a Java-based software product initiative for secure managed file transfer and ESB services across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts State government.  This four year effort replaced every file and message level interface with an API service framework and is expected to be completed in 2015.

§    Senior Application Architect/Business Analyst (2009/2010) –Architected and acted as Business Analyst for two key Java Massachusetts State government technology projects.  One was a provider management system for SMB and the other was a web-based rewrite of a comprehensive management system for the State Rehabilitation Commission. Both remain in production as of 2014.

§    Senior Application Architect (2008/2009) – Architected and acted as PM for eHealth, a Java based community and lifestyle service for a top 5 US pharma company to help increase survival rates for diabetes, cystic fibrosis and hepatitis C patients.  Created an Information Technology Architecture (ITA) for current and future state enterprise processes and designed a portal pilot in Oracle Glassfish.

September 2000 to August 2008 – CSC USA – Senior Software Architect

§    Senior Application Architect (2005-2008) – Architected and acted as PM for two key Massachusetts State-wide government projects:  an enterprise service bus (ESB) built in Java/J2EE WebLogic and AIMS, an Oracle and Sugar CRM based enterprise access and identity management solution.  Both are enterprise business services to the Virtual Gateway, a state-wide common intake health care delivery system in Massachusetts.  Each has been in production for 8+ years as of 2014.

§    Co-lead Senior Technical Architect (2002/2003) – A $20M bank merger project to create largest retail bank in the Caribbean. Defined technology model and candidate architectures for 20+work streams.  Operates #1 or #2 in every target market today.
