Member of the Enterprise Infrastructure, End User Computing, Windows Engineering team which is responsible for the globalization of services and solutions to the Morgan Stanley end user community utilizing a Microsoft operating environment.

·               Team lead responsible for the engineering and standardization of the Windows 7 VDI image to be deployed throughout the enterprise. Successfully partnered with the Citrix and Application Delivery teams to create a scalable and secure virtualized desktop solution.

·               Partnered with the firm’s business units to assess and identify technology solutions that align with current and future core business objectives.

·               Led and managed the Morgan Stanley Development Environment’s dedicated hardware platform consisting of 550 blade servers running Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 2003 and 2008R2 server. Worked with Core development team to deliver a standard Windows 7 and Windows 2008R2 image and began to phase out the Windows XP platform. Responsible for delivering a guaranteed, identical environment to all developers through periodic reimaging of hardware. Point of contact for OS related escalations that cannot be resolved by L1-L3 Operations team.

·               Member of Global Engineering Core Technology team responsible for evaluating and deploying new technology. Responsibilities include certifying new hardware against firm standards before being made available to the organization. Engaged vendors to obtain and evaluate new products including server, desktop and laptop hardware, monitors and peripheral devices. Managed all aspects of two “Lights Out” data centers that service the HPFS global user community. Administrator for Windows 2003 Active Directory Enterprise network. Responsible for the support of large server footprint consisting of 500 physical and virtual servers. Managed HP XP1024 and EVA 5000 SAN solutions and HP ESL 9000 Enterprise Tape Library, Heroix EQ and Insight Manager monitoring solutions.

·               Led SCSI to SAN storage migration project. Successfully migrated forty-five terabytes of data from local SCSI storage to EVA 5000 SAN increasing reliability and ease of data management. Setup dedicated Brocade SAN fiber fabric for full data redundancy. Performed administration of EVA and resolution of SAN Issues.

·               Implemented and managed VMWare 3.0.2 environment. Successfully migrated Development environment from physical hardware to VMWare platform reducing physical server inventory. Provided administration of VMWare platform.
