Infrastructure Architect / PM, Tory Burch,  NY, NY                                                        March 2012 – Present

Responsible for the strategy, design, deployment and Project Management of critical infrastructure solutions throughout the Tory Burch enterprise. Managed all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial feasibility analysis and conceptual design through implementation. Evaluate new technology solutions that will enhance business productivity for the organization. Act as a resource and escalation point within IT to assist with the resolution of complex systems related problems.

·               Lead infrastructure resource responsible for the design, planning, implementation and Project Management of Cloud based solutions including Microsoft Office 365 and Azure, JDA Solutions, WorkDay HR and Google Sites. 

·               Planned and performed migration of email from on-premise MS Exchange environment to Microsoft Office 365 ensuring a stable and reliable messaging platform. Acted as architect and Project Manager for all phases of migration.

·               Designed and implemented Microsoft Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) to deliver secure identity management with trusted business partners.

·               Implemented Microsoft Directory Synchronization to synchronize on-premise Active Directory and Office 365. Performed upgrade of Dir Sync to Azure AD Sync in preparation for Microsoft Azure platform.

·               Executed Active Directory upgrade from Windows 2003 to Windows 2008R2 redesigning the domain structure and migration of DHCP to Infoblox. Designed and successfully executed upgrade of Domain Controllers from Windows 2008R2 to Windows 2012R2.

·               Designed and implemented Citrix XenApp 7.5 environment successfully delivering application virtualization, eliminating end-user performance issues.

·               Designed and implemented Microsoft SCCM 2012 as an end-point management solution leveraging SCCM for patch management, OS image deployment and application deployment. Integrated Secunia CSI and SCCM to deliver robust 3^rd party patching solution.

·               Designed and implemented BMC Control-M Workload Automation providing enhanced scheduling Capabilities of SAP, Web Methods and other application platforms.

 

Windows Engineer, Consultant, Morgan Stanley,  NY, NY                                      April 2010 – March 2012

Member of the Enterprise Infrastructure, End User Computing, Windows Engineering team which is responsible for the globalization of services and solutions to the Morgan Stanley end user community utilizing a Microsoft operating environment.

·               Team lead responsible for the engineering and standardization of the Windows 7 VDI image to be deployed throughout the enterprise. Successfully partnered with the Citrix and Application Delivery teams to create a scalable and secure virtualized desktop solution.

·               Partnered with the firm’s business units to assess and identify technology solutions that align with current and future core business objectives.

·               Led and managed the Morgan Stanley Development Environment’s dedicated hardware platform consisting of 550 blade servers running Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 2003 and 2008R2 server. Worked with Core development team to deliver a standard Windows 7 and Windows 2008R2 image and began to phase out the Windows XP platform. Responsible for delivering a guaranteed, identical environment to all developers through periodic reimaging of hardware. Point of contact for OS related escalations that cannot be resolved by L1-L3 Operations team.

·               Member of Global Engineering Core Technology team responsible for evaluating and deploying new technology. Responsibilities include certifying new hardware against firm standards before being made available to the organization. Engaged vendors to obtain and evaluate new products including server, desktop and laptop hardware, monitors and peripheral devices. Responsible for driver certification, benchmark testing and maintaining the deployment packages used by the automated build process for new and existing hardware.

 

Sr. Systems Engineer, HP Financial Services, Murray Hill, NJ                    February 2005 – December 2010

Managed all aspects of two “Lights Out” data centers that service the HPFS global user community. Administrator for Windows 2003 Active Directory Enterprise network. Responsible for the support of large server footprint consisting of 500 physical and virtual servers. Managed HP XP1024 and EVA 5000 SAN solutions and HP ESL 9000 Enterprise Tape Library, Heroix EQ and Insight Manager monitoring solutions.

·               Led SCSI to SAN storage migration project. Successfully migrated forty-five terabytes of data from local SCSI storage to EVA 5000 SAN increasing reliability and ease of data management. Setup dedicated Brocade SAN fiber fabric for full data redundancy. Performed administration of EVA and resolution of SAN Issues.

·               Implemented and managed VMWare 3.0.2 environment. Successfully migrated Development environment from physical hardware to VMWare platform reducing physical server inventory. Provided administration of VMWare platform.

·               Successfully migrated all applications and databases from Windows 2000 to Windows 2003 server platform.

·               Implemented new backup solution, migrated all production servers from Veritas Backup Exec to HP Data Protector. Setup dedicated network for backups redirecting backup traffic from LAN using Brocade switches creating Backup SAN fiber fabric.

Responsible for the support of the local and wide area networks for eleven Baker & Taylor facilities including production data center with Windows servers, AS400 and Mainframe. Provided systems administration for Windows 2000/2003 Active Directory and Novell Netware 6.

·               Lead for Novell Netware to Active Directory migration including implementation of corporate-wide DHCP.

·               Designed and upgraded LAN and DMZ switch infrastructure to Cisco gigabit technology resulting in increased reliability and performance.

·               Successfully Deployed Juniper SA appliance for VPN remote access utilizing RSA token authentication.

·               Managed remote access via Juniper SA appliance. Supported Cisco 2900–4600 series switches, 3Com switches and Cisco PIX Firewall, Aironet wireless devices and Sourcefire IDS/IPS sensors.
