PROFILE:

Mr. Sharma is one of the founder members of Sophoi, which was acquired by Oracle in 2009. He also

founded Humesis Inc., which developed web/desktop/mobile profitable products like www.phytter.com

and www.phytterdock.com for third party clients, and has been internally working on couple of Software

as a Service and associated mobile products and solutions to be released at the end of 2015. He has

helped companies do prototype of their software’s in both web and mobile to help with the strategy and

decision making process. One example would be the product for discounted prescription drugs, the demo

site at discountrx.humesis.com

During his more than 19 years of experience within the Media, technology and IT industry, he has played

key role on multiple IT and Business Process Re-Engineering projects and new products.

He has worked on numerous software systems, products and mobile development as Lead Developer,

Business Analyst, Technical Solution Architect, Solution Architect and Project management/Engagement

manager roles. He has helped companies use cloud computing to scale their application and

infrastructure.

Mr. Sharma has extensive domain knowledge of the complete lifecycle of Media and Entertainment IP,

ERP and consumer facing products and services, like Movie/TV product Acquisition, Development, and

Movie/TV Distribution and Streaming, Payments and Royalties, online file storage/sync, and VOIP and

messaging platforms.

He is experienced in designing developing and implementing integrated software product/systems, and

managing teams of various sizes and cultural backgrounds, spread across multiple geographical

locations and vendors.

Mr. Sharma has comprehensive in-depth knowledge of the business, business processes, technical and

infrastructure requirements within the Media and Entertainment, Telco, Content Acquisition, Distribution,

Broadcast and Streaming businesses along with Software as a Service and mobile (iOS and Android)

platforms.

He has worked with and developed products on cloud IAAS and PAAS platforms like Amazon AWS and

Google Cloud along with in house data centers and platforms.

He has extensive systems integration, warehouse and analytics experiences using open source Message

based integration technologies and products like Oracle Fusion, Data Warehouse and Analytics

platforms.

He has excellent grasp of business concepts and very good communication and solution modeling skills,

and has mentored multiple functional, technical and project management resources, who have gone on to

help customers and end-users achieve the desired business process results through the application of

technology, Business Process Reengineering and Product functionality.

His knowledge of both, business processes, technical architecture and the underlying tools and

technologies, is will respected within the Sophoi/Oracle client base. Due to his long association with

Humesis Inc is a company based in Los Angeles, It is a solution provider and a software product

development company. As CTO and founder member Mr. Sharma was instrumental in designing,

developing and launching third party products like www.phytter.com, a VOIP software for web, desktop

(Windows and Mac) and mobile platform (iOS and Android clients), a cloud based file storage and sharing

product, www.phytterdock.com amongst others.

Mr. Sharma also worked with the Humesis team across different geographical regions namely Tokyo,

Japan and Bangalore, India. Mr. Sharma has worked with Amazon AWS and Google Cloud IAAS, PAAS

platforms and has extensive knowledge on both, and has participated in AWS architecture summits

multiple times.

He has while at Humesis been the key person in architecting, designing and delivering the

solution/product, while also being involved in the hiring of technical resources, working with vendors and

independent contractors, mentoring them, and ensuring that they have the skills and the expertise to

develop world class software products.

Currently Mr. Sharma is working on couple of software as a service and mobile products (iOS and

Android) and also on creating a framework, with key features build in, to jump-start any

web/desktop/mobile, connected applications.

Rovi Entertainment:

Rovi is a backend solution providers of content acquisition and delivery (streaming) platform along with

financials associated with it, like royalty calculations and payments, and the associated data warehouse

and analytics for sites like www.cinemanow.com and www.blockbuster.com among others.

Rovi was implementing a company wide systems using a mix of Oracle product and custom solutions for

automating their content acquisition, distribution and content delivery lifecycle platform, along with the

associated calculation of royalties and payments to the content owners and the analytics associated with

it.

Rovi sells this platform as a solution to manage content acquisition, distribution and delivery and the

online stores of various clients.

Mr. Sharma as the lead solution architect on the project designed and developed an integrated solution

using Oracle products (Weblogic Application Server, JMS Server, Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle BI,

OMIPM) and custom JMS based integration solutions to manage the complete lifecycle of content, from

its acquisition, to the delivery, on the online stores and the calculations of royalties and payments

associated with it based on the content download or view metrics.

Nintendo:

Nintendo was implementing a company wide system using Oracle product and technologies comprising

of Oracle Database, Oracle Applications, Oracle Media and Intellectual Property Management, Oracle

BRM, Oracle Fusion Middleware.

Mr. Sharma helped put together the integration architecture and solution for the BRM/OMIPM/Oracle

Financials integration solution and also helped setup the J2EE/JMS/XML based integration based on

Weblogic JMS server, along with the Oracle Fusion Middleware which was primarily used to integrate

OMIPM, BRM with external systems.

Oracle Internal:

Since coming on board with Oracle Mr. Sharma worked with the various Oracle team in transitioning and

integrating the Sophoi organization and infrastructure, with the overall Oracle organization and

infrastructure.

Mr. Sharma also helped put together documentation related to the Processes and functionality, and the

recommendations for technical architecture and solutions for future OMIPM implementation, and the best

practices for integrated solution for OMIPM and other Oracle products and services.

Mr. Sharma also initiated the move towards providing the OMIPM (Oracle Media and Intellectual Property

Management Software) product and its module, as software as a service platform using both Oracle

hosted VM’s and on Amazon AWS.

Oracle Pre Sale Activities:

Since coming on board with Oracle Mr. Sharma has also been involved in helping put together proposals,

responding to RFP’s and recommendations based on his past experiences for potential clients. This

involved understanding the client requirements and proposing solutions based on their needs. This also

involved hardware and architecture recommendations and along with high-level solution modeling and

identifying the underlying tools and technologies to be used for the solution.

Mr. Sharma was the founder member of Sophoi Inc, which was acquired by Oracle in 2009. As part of

Sophoi Mr. Sharma designed, developed and implemented software for the Media and Entertainment

business and has worked with companies like CBS, Paramount, Televisa, Dreamworks, Star TV, Sony,

Lexus Nexis, Discover, as Lead Solution Architect and Lead Software developer on designing and

implementing integrated software systems for the complete content acquisition, creation and distribution
