St. Joseph Health is a group of 14 hospitals spread across California and Texas. EDW &

Analytics department is part of SJHS corporate IT. My responsibilities include:

  Ø Working with Key Stakeholders, Executives to identify and define analytics needs –

regulatory metrics and their calculations, identifying new use cases for advance analytics like

population health management.

  Ø Leading BI & EDW team to implement creative solutions to enable advanced analytics and

empowering Business Analysts to perform statistical analysis using EDW platform.

  Ø Leading team to build Healthcare Clinical Data Model (Clinical/Financial Data Mart) to

  Ø Project managed Amalga UIS implementation for Novant Health, NC. Novant is one of the

early adopters of Amalga UIS and we implemented Amalga centrally with data integrated

from all 8 hospitals and associated Physician’s clinics.

  Ø Project managed ~ $ 10 m account for Amalga UIS implementation at Children’s Healthcare

of Atlanta (CHoA). The Account includes 3 parallel projects namely Amalga Baseline

implementation, Emergency Dashboard and Financial data consolidation and reporting. My

responsibilities include:

o Managing team of 8-10 people (mix of MS resources and MS partner resources) for 3

projects in terms of project budget, resource planning, project schedule, and status

reporting and issue resolution.

o Client management for project planning and scope management, day to day

coordination for issues escalation and tracking.

o Coordinating with Microsoft Consulting Services group for Performance

Point/Sharepoint and BI suites implementation at same client that will interface with

Amalga.

Senior Product Manager, Calance Corporation

Product/Solution: BedSide TV

  Ø Led an Onsite-Offshore mix of high performing team for the development of a patent pending

solution “BedSide TV” to bring patient care to a digital TV, using IPTV technology. The

solution used a digital cablebox to provide personalized patient care, training and survey

capability over an existing coaxial cable network. The solution integrates the nurse call

system (pillow speaker) and clinical repository with the digital TV.

Program Manager – BI COE, Microsoft Corporation

My responsibilities included:

  Ø Led the Offshore Sales & Marketing BI team responsible for the delivery of feature

enhancements for Enterprise Products Group (EPG) and Partner’s Sales Management (PSM)

BI applications. I was responsible for gathering requirements from onsite Product Manager,

writing feature specification for new features, collaborating with development team for

design & Implementation and overseeing architectural design and decisions.

  Ø Goal was to build a strong BI team of FTEs for managing EPG and PSM applications. I drove

in-sourcing initiatives to in-source the work from existing Vendor Company having 30

resources managing these applications. In a short span of 6 months I ramped up the MS EPG

BI team from 2 FTE team to 7 FTE and reduced vendor resources to 6 people team.

  Ø I was responsible for project planning, scope management, progress monitoring & reporting,

issue resolution, risk mitigation, quality of deliverables and resource allocation.

  Ø Engaged business stakeholders/Redmond counterpart to finalize on nature of work for

Maintenance team, decide on SLAs for Service requests, Change Requests and new

enhancements.

  Ø Was member of Enterprise Data Warehousing Focus group within Microsoft representing

Sales & Marketing horizontal dataset and involved in data accusation initiative.

I was responsible for new features design and development for Siebel Analytics 7.8 version.
