Mobile & Web Architect/Team Lead                              January 2005 - February, 2011

·         In my role as a Mobile & Web Architect, I designed and developed mobile and enterprise web applications.  Built multiple mobile apps for a number of platforms including iOS, Android and Blackberry including:

o        Implemented an iOS 4.3+ based hybrid mobile app using HTML5, CSS3, Modernizr, WebShims, jQuery mobile, native app development in XCode, geolocation, JSON and device storage.  Led the development, testing and release of the app and is available on the AppStore (http://www.valueoptions.com/mobile/).  The mobile app was built to scale and is easily portable on Android and Windows Phone platforms.

o        Built a Blackberry application that intercepts outgoing mail to validate encryption.  The user is provided a choice to add e-mail encryption per HIPAA regulations. The application is supported on multiple Blackberry platforms and incorporated several features including background threading and intelligent interception. 

·         Managed a diverse and scattered team of 20+ resources to build and successfully deliver a Federal DIACAP compliant DoD website (https://www.militaryonesourceeap.org) on an extremely aggressive time-frame.    The website was built per Federal regulations for security, privacy, data retention policies using a custom J2EE based CMS with Active Directory authentication and incorporates features like real-time custom Ajax driven chat, login wall, shopping cart, video/audio integration, Google Analytics, SEO, social and mobile integration and supported over 6 million service members.

●        As web architect, my job started with understanding the business rules, evaluating & establishing the technologies to use, building application framework and user interactions, carving out modules for developers and deploying multi-browser supported web applications to AIX based environments.  I used Java 5/6 in conjunction with Struts 1.x/2, Spring, EL, taglibs, JSP and open source technologies including log4j, FreeMarker, Selenium, EhCache, Quartz, Commons, LDAP, Nutch and Lenya, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS3 driven animation and features, DOM, JQuery, and table-free CSS. Developed the interactions and transaction boundaries for EJB/POJOs interacting with Oracle/DB2 databases.  I used Jira, Bugzilla, Ant, Tomcat, Maven, CVS, JMeter, MediaWiki and Unix scripting to assist in development.

·         I was working as a J2EE Developer implementing a complex corporate Tax system.  I was involved in the development effort including meeting with the Business Analysts/Engineers to identify the purpose, scope and deficiencies of use-cases, modeling class/sequence diagrams and transaction scopes and implementing the use-case.  I used SSBs, MDBs and servlets running on WebLogic 8.1 to build the system.
