CMS Arts: CMS Arts is a web
based financial management application written to handle billing for the
Department of Health and Human Services. This system had an advanced
reporting requirement and real time access to data for attaching and
communicating with government officials. System was built to handle
thousands of simultaneous users. FDA MAED: Began project with a
limited architecture where the system was only able to handle 3 simultaneous
users. I worked with the FDA to rework the architecture and build the
proposal for a massive overhaul which resulted in the ability for the system
to handle 100s of users. MAED is a Java application with a SAS
analytics engine back end. I regularly worked to troubleshoot the
legacy SAS macros to fix problems and help users with issues. At the
same time we greatly extended the capabilities to enhance the visualization
of standard and non-standard data. NCARB Architectural Qualifications
Manager: This application managed the 100,000 current architectural
licenses in the country and the certification process which students must
undergo to become a certified and licensed architect. This system was
also required to store historical records of students and architects since
the time when licensing became a requirement in 1857. This tremendous
volume of data was designed for the Azure cloud and integrated into the Azure
cloud framework with Microsoft SharePoint as the original front-end.
However, the company did move away from this solution and instead used a
different web based platform. Alumni Fidelity: written as a
contract with R2Integrated employed by that organization. This system
handled the collection and submission of fund raisers for the purposes of
collecting money. Alumni Fidelity facilitated highly complex algorithms
for alerting users, collection donations, and managing fund raisers. This
system also had social networking capabilities that would allow users to
communicate inside the system. Also, reports were created which clearly
showed how these funds stood compared with the target and goal amounts. |
