·               Cloud Computing Middleware Engineer: Researched and planned Dev/Ops support roles, automated deployments, and implemented security standards for Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) milCloud (IaaS) and Managed Platform Services (PaaS).  Responsible for analyzing required security and bug-fix patches, scheduling Technical Review Boards, and maintenance outages, and ensuring adherence to DISA ITIL processes in both classified and unclassified private clouds.  Provided technical leadership and expertise in implementation of DISA Commercial Cloud Pilot on Amazon Web Services. 

·               Cyber Security: Tested and implemented firewall security configurations for edge gateways in vCloud Director as part of the DoD Joint Information Environment (JIE) milCloud initiative. Configured network access control lists and security group firewalls in Amazon Web Services, Virtual Private Cloud within the GOVCLOUD region. 

·               Business Development: SAIC resident expert on DISA milCloud.  Provided subject matter expertise to several RFI and RFQ responses for customers considering offering solutions centering on milCloud IaaS.  Drafted SAIC past performance write-ups for potential business development opportunities.  Lauded for responsiveness and quality of write-ups.

·               Project Management:  Researched technology, conceptualized redundant design, evaluated and procured equipment, and implemented a redundant Storage Area Network.  Drafted the company’s first disaster recovery and business continuity plan incorporating high-speed fiber-channel to tape backup, automated data replication to an off-site data center 22 kilometers away, and geographically separated cluster nodes to protect against hurricane or other disaster to the primary data-center.

·               Unmatched breadth of expertise in the U.S. Air Force, Capabilities Integration Environment (CIE) in a wide variety of GCSS-AF infrastructure services.  Completed hundreds of base installs, upgrades and patches to Tivoli Access Manager, IBM Tivoli Identity Management, Cold-Fusion, WebSphere Application Server, Oracle Application Server, Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Biztalk, Self-Registration, IDWeb, OIDSync, Enterprise Service Bus, DataPower, etc.

·               Infrastructure Services Team Lead for 7 Senior Communications Engineers. Created a process for reliably documenting Infrastructure Service package installations resulting in consistent and repeatable installation and configuration processes.

·               Identified and automated numerous audit processes for improved security and preservation of scarce IT resources.  Included are monthly certificate renewal audits, bi-weekly user account audits, quarterly Configuration Management Database audits, and twice daily checks of key CIE infrastructure.  The results are dramatically improved reliability of Configuration Management Data and improved ability to identify unused resources for re-use.

·               Built a TAM user account management process that ensures every account is tied to a program office.  Reduced unknown accounts from more than 10000 to 0, and trimmed over 7000 stale accounts; a 40% reduction to the user account database.

·               Technical Project Leader for major upgrade to Enterprise Resource Management application.  Conducted rigorous upgrade and migration tests and scripted the data migration and client application install resulting in flawless data migration and simultaneous client upgrades with NO technical glitches.
