Drafter

Responsibilities:

·               Created structural drawings based on building standards for residential construction using AutoCAD (version 2012) software.  This involved working closely with engineers to ensure that drawings met company and structural standards.  Along with creating/updating structural drawings, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings were created depending upon the builder’s requirements.  Once master plans were completed and issued, site specific drawings were created upon request by the numerous builders that Fuhrmann contracted with as lots were to be built upon.

·               Documented the company’s procedures by producing and maintaining a drafting manual to ensure that all drafters followed the same procedures and served as a training tool for new hires.

Responsibilities:

·               Designed the layout for cable TV installation using LODE software, which aids in determining what cable types and devises should be used.  With field walk-out maps, was able to determine how towns should be divided into nodes (a.k.a. pocketing) with the best use of existing cable and equipment.  Then, using Modelit (GIS [Geographic Information System]), drafted the routing of various cable types and associated devices.

·               Performed quality checks on other designs to ensure accuracy and best use of equipment.
