ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Historical Perry Arch Bridge – (ODOT) Rehabilitation of a bridge located in Eastern Oregon. Provide the plan, profile and detail drawings for the deck and rail to be replaced. Provide plans for temporary access road & bridges north and south for public transportation.
 

Bundle 414 – (ODOT) The project consist of 8 bridges,7 replacements and 1 repair. Lead designer drafter on 4 of the replacement bridges. Provide plan, profile and details for 7 of the 8 bridges. All drawings were provided on time and on schedule. This design-build project estimated at 32.0 million
 

Mississippi River Bridge - (Saint Louis, Missouri) A cable-stay structure spanning the Mississippi River.

Bridge main span is 2,000 feet and 222 feet in width. Provided drafting of the deck drainage design for the Illinois approach, Illinois side span, main span, Missouri span and Missouri approach for the total length of 3156 feet.

Provided Plans, Profiles, cross sections  & details for Landslide  development for a Odot project. Provided horizontal drainage plans. This was a temporary position to help out with the overload. Back checked work.

Cad Drafter

Design drawings from a cad format such as AutoCad or Microstation for the following engineering fields: manufacturing, electrical & plumbing companies. Drawings consist from fire protection, HVAC & schematic panel drawings (interior & exterior).

Structural Designer

Provided details for a refinery in the Portland area and put them on a formatted title block. Back checked work thoroughly. Plan sheet revisions, used company lotus program checking in out drawings. Coordinate and updated tools on the lotus program. Communicate with the structural group on changes.

 

 

Power Engineer’s Inc., Portland, Oregon                 June 2010 – June 2011

Cad Technician II

Work with numerous standards from major power companies all over the United States to provide plan, profile & staging diagrams for transmission and distribution lines. Provide data for property owners and other power company distribution line that would cross over new distribution lines. Communicated with other Power Engineer offices on what standards are to be used for certain clientele so the drawings will be consistent when delivered. Civil/ Structural Cad Designer
Design plan and profile drawings as well as details sheets. Coordinate a project so that it would be on schedule and under budget. Managed the research resources for as-built data for bridges, inspection reports and cost data through the Odot data system. Worked with co-workers on their Cad skills and kept them up to date on the latest software and standards.  Designed access roads for construction equipment to pass on when a replacement or a surface repair is being done. Worked with water resources on projects that consisted with box culverts, sewer drains and drainage pipe lines.

Provided details for new building structures and put them on a formatted title block plan sheet for the company that is building the structures. Plan and steel detail sheets for a pedestrian bridge that crossed over Las Vegas Blvd. in Las Vegas, Nevada. Architectural details for the building blocks in the brewery district in downtown Portland, Oregon.

ABNA Engineering, St. Louis, Missouri    March 2002 – November 2003                         
Civil / Structural Cad Technician
Applied line work to the topography that came in from surveys. Locate utilities out in the field as well as applied utilities to plan in profiles from city or county maps. Designed a monument structure for an urban

community. Worked on the Mississippi Bridge that is to be the biggest cable stayed bridge in America. Coordinated projects with a team and worked until the project was finished and on time.

Missouri Dept. of Transportation, Chesterfield, Missouri   March 1997 – March 2002
Design Technician
Standard roadway plan and profile drawings, cross sections, Right of way revisions & change of route status for the State of Missouri. Mark utility locates for projects. Researched information for a projected job. (microfiche, deeds, survey notes). Produce legal displays for state court hearings and right-of-way illustration for the state commissioners. GIS exhibits for public presentations. Cross trained with a survey crew.
