Deputy Chief of Naval Operations (Strategic Plans, Policies and Operations)
OP-06C. I was the staff typist. I provided typing and telephone
support for the senior captains and admirals for the organization. I
also maintained a classified serial log, maintained files from the National
Security Council, worked with the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and reorganized the
filing system to help with the daily operations of the office. Worked in the
Office of the Chief of Legislative Affairs. In this capacity I maintained
a serial log on all outgoing correspondence, maintained a log on all House
and Senate bills turned into law, typed form letters and did daily routine
filing. I performed legislative research to assist the Navy in its

correspondence to difference offices such as the Office of Management and
Budget and various House and Senate offices. I am
proficient in the use of Wordperfect, Microsoft Word, Excel, Quatro, Lotus,
Dbase, PowerPoint along with a variety of other software used in offices on a
daily basis. I have used CAD and GIS software in the past along with
several specialized softwares. I can type 74 words per minute, can use
