The Data / Analyst will be a hands-on technical analyst, I can work collaboratively with the support, sales and software development team to gather, create, edit, integrate and manage geospatial data and associated attribute information in file-based (excel, CSV) and geo database formats. 
Manage the acquisition, conversion, and importing and exporting of customer data, which may include multiple formats including: .csv; .xls; GIS (ESRI and Small world), work-order management systems, databases (oracle, .mdb), .kml; etc. 
Identify and correct errors introduced when merging data sets from multiple sources e.g. geo databases and .csv formatted data and develop exceptions reports to identify anomalies in data. 
Interact with customers (utilities and municipalities) staff to gather GIS and related data files and to investigate potential data corrections and updates. This will include problem identification, testing, duplication, determining ! problem severity, documenting the details on the internal tracking system, problem escalation and bug reports. 
The Data / Analyst will be a product expert, possibly providing client training as well as creating and maintaining a knowledgebase. I will serve to track requests for system enhancements and help to coordinate the rollout of product upgrades. 
Continually look for areas of improvement in projects, products, processes. Push and sell ideas in a constructive manner to appropriate parties. 
Participate in training on new releases to learn system enhancements, contractual commitment items and bug fixes prior to releasing to customers. 
Work towards developing methods of data maintenance including the automation and streamlining of the data collection work flow. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
PRIMARY DUTIES- 
Database Administration: 
-Maintain database connections; 
-Update existing ArcSDE databases as needed; 
-Provide assistance maintain comp! liance with the product data model; 
-Utilize automation protocols for loading spatial data using data modeling and attribute mapping; manage the defined work flow routines; 
-Provide documentation for workflow routines as necessary; 
-Monitor and maintain Arc SDE database performance and tuning as needed;

-Provide technical assistance to users (connection, access, etc) 
-Perform upgrades and patches roll-out into Production environment.
