WORK EXPERIENCE:
7/06-10/2012 ICON Engineering, Inc. – 8100 South Akron Street, Suite 300, Centennial, CO
Project Engineer- Work closely with project manager in all aspect of projects and designs. Work independently on
different tasks of the projects. Use LDD to import survey points, create alignments, generate cross-sections,
profiles, surfaces, grading, to produce workmaps/exhibits, and create FEMA profiles. Also used HEC-RAS
4.0/4.1.0, HY-8 7.0, Flow Master 6.1, MODSWMM, HEC1/HEC2, EPA SWMM 5.0, UDFCD CUHP 2005
Workbook, ArcMap 9.3, GEO-RAS for hydrology and hydraulic modeling. Created/exported .dxf files, such as
cross-sections, bridges, and profiles. Put together and help create construction plan sets, exhibits, plan and profile
sheets, index maps, GESC plans, floodplain maps, and FEMA profiles for projects. Assisted project managers in
research and collection of utility information (sanitary, sewer, gas, electric, and etc.) for design of drainage
improvements.
Projects worked on:
Clear Creek FHAD/Master Plan, South Platte River to Golden, CO - Assisted in the completion of over twelve
miles of floodplain delineation along Clear Creek in the Denver Metropolitan area. The project also included master
planning of improvements along the Drainageway. Delineated floodplains base off of HEC-RAS, input/identified
ineffective flows, created base flood elevations off of profiles, and exported/imported cross-sections and profiles
from HEC-RAS model into AutoCAD. Created index sheets, plan and profiles, site plan map, and vicinity map.
Michaud & West Vine Basins – Unsteady Flow, Ft. Collins, CO - Assisted in the unsteady flow modeling of
three major canal systems in Fort Collins, Colorado. The project utilized unsteady flow HEC-RAS and SWMM.
Did unsteady flow analysis for Pleasant Valley and Lake Canal, New Mercer Ditch; and Larimer County Canal #2 in
Michaud and West Vine Basins, Ft. Collins, CO. Project involved unsteady flow HEC-RAS modeling, survey data,
hydrologic updates, and MODSWMM hydrologic models. Delineated basin boundaries, create/modified
hydrographs, edit SWMM models to reflect point and lateral flows. Ran modified SWMM model with
MODSWMM. Used ArcView GIS to GEO-RAS and generate cross-sections and export into HEC-RAS. Used
HEC-RAS to create unsteady flow model, code in bridges, input lateral weirs, Mannings values, and identified
ineffective flow areas.
Prowers County, CO - Assisted in the completion of hydrology, hydraulic, and levee analyses for the Arkansas
River, Willow Creek, and Wild Horse Creek in the Town of Holly; for the Arkansas River and Wolf Creek in the
Town of Granada; and for the Arkansas River and Willow Creek in the Town of Lamar. Generated cross-sections
using Arc GIS 3.3 GEO-RAS. Utilized HEC-RAS 4.0 for hydraulic modeling of cross-sections, bridges, culverts,
and levees. Delineated with and without levee floodplains (100-yr, 500-yr, and 1-ft floodway) and profiles base off
of HEC-RAS, generated crossing details, and Manning’s N workmaps. Put together tables and developed oversized
& complicated floodplain workmaps depicting with and without levee analyses using AutoCAD.
Gold Smith Gulch, Denver, CO - Assisted in the completion of developing conceptual and final design channel
improvements, reviewed previous design drawings to develop and correlate to existing conditions, did site
assessment for hydraulic analysis for Gold Smith Gulch. Utilized HEC-RAS 4.0 for hydraulic modeling and
AutoCAD for grading, exhibits, and workmaps.
Liberty Hill Tributary LOMR, Golden, CO - Assisted in the completion of the Liberty Hill Tributary LOMR,
located in the southern portion of Arapahoe County. Did field assessment for hydraulic analysis. Hydraulic
modeling was done with HEC-RAS 4.1.0. Used Arc Map 9.3 to develop all cross-sections, Manning’s values, and
block obstructions to develop hydraulic model and the 100-yr floodplain workmap. Developed annotated FIRM,
profile, and agreement table for LOMR.
Jefferson County DFIRM, Golden, CO - Assisted in the completion of the preliminary and post preliminary
production of the Jefferson County DFIRM. Utilized AutoCAD to generate FEMA standard profiles. Profiles were
derived from the FIS and HEC-RAS. Some profiles required lifting from NGVD29 to NAVD88 datum by a factor.
1/05-7/06 AMEC Earth & Environmental – 355 South Teller Street, Suite 300, Lakewood, CO
Drafter- Work independently, manage, and support all drafting needs on engineering projects. Use LDD and civil
design to balance cut/fill, generate cut/fill volumes, to grade, create surfaces, generate storage curves, create plan &
profiles, create cross-sections, and alignments. Manage CAD standards. Work closely with senior engineer in pond
and channel designs. Put together construction plan sets and details for projects. Also function as IT
support/contact for office in troubleshooting computer or server problems and work with IT technician to resolve
computer problems.
Projects worked on:
Castle Oaks - Utilized LDD and civil design to revise grading design changes of ponds and channels, generate
storage curves, and create surfaces to compare as-built vs. design. Also did redlines per engineer’s revisions.
Virginia Canyon - Assisted in the design of a collection and conveyance system that is use to treat mine drainage
and to catch it from getting into groundwater and public use. Revised construction plan set that consisted of plan
and profile sheets and detail sheets.
Liberty Village - Used LDD and civil design to regrade design changes for ponds and spillways. Revised redlines
per changes, draw in 100-yr floodplain.
Cherry Creek Destratification - Assisted in generating drawings such as plan sheets and detail sheets for the
locations of the aerators in the Cherry Creek Reservoir.
Lanterns - Used LDD and civil design to generate storage curves, cut/fill volumes, plan and profiles, crosssections,
channel alignments, grading and surfaces.

Civil CAD Designer II- Provided CAD support for various areas, such as, redlines/modifications for water & storm
sewer plan and profiles, erosion control plans, sanitary sewer plans and profiles. Used pipeworks to generate
sanitary sewer plans and profiles and used LDD to create alignments.

CAD Designer II- CAD support for various environmental and engineering projects, drafted and redlined for multidiscipline
engineering projects, generated new figures, worked with raster images, x-references, digitizing and
scanning images, and bringing in .dxf and .shp files. Worked with model space, paper space, multiple plotters, pen
assignments, and viewports. Obtained and contacted quotes from small businesses for start up of a project. Assisted
in managing work load and department when supervisor is away.
Projects worked on:
Lowry Landfill Superfund Site - Designed and created drawings based on well log data consisting of ground
litholigies. Designed cross-sections, site maps, and produced stiff diagrams, piper diagrams, and potentiometric
contour drawings. Drafted redlines.
Union Pacific Rail Road (UPRR) - Generated elevation, profile, and cross-section (pipes & culverts) views based
