WORK EXPERIENCE

MRE Engineer

Apex Systems - Google FTTH - Santa Clara, CA - July 2015 to Present

Responsibilities

- Conduct O-Calc analysis to determine structural load and compliance with California aerial construction

regulations (General Order 95)

- Engineer aerial routes of fiber optic networks

- Complete the Make-Ready and ensure that new attachments meet utility standards and applicable codes

Joint Pole Engineer

Byers Engineering Company - San Diego, CA - December 2014 to Present

Responsibilities

- Conducted field reports for all JPA projects in the San Diego and Imperial Valley regions

- Created O-Calc Analysis Reports for all projects - provides solutions for overloaded poles

- Worked closely with Design Engineers to effectively complete engineering under heavy time constraints

Telecommunications Project Manager

• Managed day-to-day operations of all OSP/ISP Fielding/Design projects (i.e. FTTH, VRAD, OCalc, ARES,

JPA) for AT&T and other clients.

• Planned and implemented fiber connectivity solutions projects that adhere to approved plans, budgets and

schedules.

• Initiated the first departmental QC process to produce a value-engineered design, ensuring both accuracy

and customer satisfaction

• Leveraged internal and external resources to affect the timely completion of over 400 monthly projects.

- Developed scope statement, identified deliverables, and created the work breakdown structure using

Quickbase software.

- Directed and managed large volume of projects execution by coordinating with customers (AT&T, Verizon,

CenturyLink, Zayo, Time Warner) and across the organization.

- Measured project variables against the project performance baseline to determine strengths and weaknesses;

identified and addressed issues and risks as needed.

- Performed Quality Control of all fielding and ARES design projects to ensure contractual compliance.

- Leveraged the use of SalesForce and D.O.C.K (Depository of Centralized Knowledge) to initiate, monitor,

- Designed outside plant work orders, feeder and drops to commercial and residential customers.

- Experienced in OSP/ISP design of copper and fiber optic facilities, in aerial, underground and direct-buried

applications.

- Knowledge and understanding of right of way and easements.

- Utilized expertise with aerial construction, span lengths, pole loading, anchoring, guying, attachment heights,

and joint use regulations.

- Developed a strategy for supporting FTTH, as well as developed solutions for FTTH deployment while taking

into account existing infrastructure

- Handled permits and coordinated construction keeping in mind licensing and permit guidelines.

- Procured all necessary field information, record verification, document preparation, data input, and prepared

Make Ready's and updated Base maps for all Aerial or Buried telecommunications facilities including but not

limited to: copper or fiber cable, poles, terminals, pedestals and hand holes.

- Performed windloading using OCalc Pro.
