Materials and Processes
Review a given project’s scope of work to
determine all needed relevant information,
site measures, pictures, sketches, building

Drafting/CAD Methods:
Working with new CAD files with standard drawing setup, or
existing files, and sheet sets with the company’s standards tools
and blocks already setup saving time and plans consistency.
Managing a standard drawing set up with assigned layers, model
and viewport scales, blocks and sheet sets in addition to other
basic components that give structure to AutoCAD files.
Building and maintaining an organized drawing file structure
along with assigning project names and job numbers to all
relevant information. Saving time when utilizing and following
projects setup process when receiving ongoing updates for CAD
file backgrounds, which may affect pervious drawings. Taking
in account Xrefs files and inherited properties associated to
other drawings any changes will change as well. Including
drawings that need additional files attached or overlayed,
reloaded, repath or detached, differing from drawing to drawing.
Utilizing a company’s drafting standards when designing, to
envision the best methods to archive quality plan sets. Creating a
drawing that shows only needed information and removing or
turning off the unneeded. For instance distinguishing areas of
work and current conditions, following the contracted work
simultaneously incorporating as-built plan information. Since
complex drawings may show demo, relocated, existing and new
contracted work all on one sheet. Utilizing layer states for
equipments placement, tags, numbering, and correct symbols.
Draft 3-D drawings using isometric views, ideally using
multiple monitors to ensure drawing are accurate and plot as
desire. Maintain an up to date knowledge of building design
codes for accurate Title 24 information. Used drawing details.
Common practice for publishing drawing sets, creation of record
set hard copies and eTransmital as requested.
