Lead DBA/Technical Manager/Architect/Solutions Expert

Recruited to develop the database team and then hire, manage and lead a team of 10 or more onsite and offshore DBA’s and application developers. Supervised the daily support services needed to maintain the company’s production database systems in a 24X 7 environment and data warehouse initiative ; this included resource planning, assigning and reviewing tasks, mentoring team members, and planning team events.

·               Possess the business acumen to properly utilize human resources, financial resources, and information technology in a manner that builds trust and results in effectively accomplishing the organization’s vision, mission, and annual goals and objectives to complete projects based on PMI and ITIL.

·               Create and manage database infrastructure, operations, and software budgets valuing $5M or greater.

·               Planned, prioritized, and coordinated a large complex data center move. This involved migrating data from an Atlanta data center to a Las Vegas data center with minimum down time. The data center move resulted in the company saving over $ 2.5 million dollars.

·               Streamlined the database technologies and platform systems at Allied Waste Service and Republic Services Inc. into a single integrated database platform system. Republic services became a $ 9 billion dollar company with over 30,000 employees in 2010 as a result of this merger.

·               Designed, built, and implemented an Agile Data Warehouses with BI stack that saved the company approximately 1 million dollars.

·               Designed and built an invoicing archival system and backup process on SharePoint that saved the company 2 million dollars per year.
