  I am a self motivated, detail oriented and dependable individual that provides innovative, accurate and time sensitive computer aided designing, drafting and documentation services to telecom, utilities, architectural, civil and engineering firms which includes design development from sketches to final preparation of associated design documents via AutoCAD, 2D and 3D, or in some cases, Microstation. I am a self-starter capable of working in a team environment or alone. OSP Designer –  Contracted to work on Google’s FTTH (Fiber To The Home) project and all outside plant design of fiber optic networks. As a member of a team of designers that worked with several different fiber management software platforms, I worked primarily with Autocad and Autocad Map. Completed folders consisted of full fiber optic power and utility designs via base maps, photos, field sketches, and overlays.

Autocad Designer – Tasked to make changes to mechanical designs of various cutting edge electrical and hydrolic Bollards and also converted drawings from Solid Works to Autocad.

Produced completed civil design packages, concrete forming, site plans, construction documents, relay panels and components.

Drafted bollards, made revisions, changes and updates on various sensitive projects.  Autocad 2010, Solid Works.

 

•                 7/2007 – 12/2008 Government Technical Services, LLC. Marietta, Ga.

Senior Designer/Manager of the design department. Delegated work to CAD drafters as it related to the design of Active Vehicle barriers (AVB) for military bases, which include road designs for proposed turn around, search areas and some structural, building, parking lots and facility and site layouts.

Created the company’s Design department, its standards, layers, blocks, and concepts.

Convert raw sketches or photos from field engineers into CAD design packages for our clients. Including necessary BOM’s, some HVAC, schematic drawings, concrete form dwgs., FIRMs, some PFDs AND P&IDs experience, panel layouts, CCTV, road designs and light mechanical, electrical drafting and minor substation drafting.

Make sure standards and specs are met. 

Great understanding of AutoCAD; layer  management, file naming, pen weights, plotting, scale factors, model/paper space, office to office sharing, transferring electronic files, collaborating.

CAD Designer - Produced designs for preliminary and land plats, subdivisions, stores and schools, also final designs of construction documents for large land design projects from raw sketches and survey data.

Assisted in space planning, construction and detail drawings, parking lots,site layouts and some structural designs, designs of roads and changes.

Interpreted blueprints and survey data.

Conducted minor surveying and made sure drawings adhered to company standards.

Some PFDs AND P&IDs experience.

CAD Designer - interpreted deeds and blueprints and translated into design packages for the railroad via GIS and autocad. Sometimes additional design was needed.
