Summary 1974-1978,
I have been in the Telecommunications industry, beginning as a
telecommunications specialist in the U.S. Air Force, honorably discharged. 1978-1987,
I Began working for General Telephone Company as a construction copper cable
splicer, received additional cable repair and cable conformance acceptance
training, conducted testing for load coil spacing, build out capacitor
values, noise measurement test rehabilitation and defective pair recovery,
performing daily cable trouble orders. 1988-1990,
Became Splicing Supervisor for Burnup and Sims Inc. while working hurricane
Hugo storm restoration in the U.S. Virgin Islands for VITELCO. 1990-1991,Georgetown
Guyana South America for GT&T as a training supervisor, training
local technicians in outside plant splicing and defective pair recovery,
using Dynatel test equipment. 1991-1992,
Mexico City and Toluca Mexico, held title of Central Office cut-over
splicing, Manager for Butler telecom Inc. and AT&T/TELMEX working
with 30 host country national contract splicers and ex-patriot splicers,
performing central office switch conversions. 1992-1993,
Caracas Venezuela, held position of Area installation and maintenance, cable
repair splicing Manager, for G.T.E. and CANTV, supervising up to 45
technicians in the Prado del Este serving area of Caracas. 1993-1996,From
Caracas, I accepted a 3 year term management SME Outside Plant assignment for
AT&T outside plant systems in Duluth Georgia, in which time I
contributed as a member of the core construction team in the deployment and
installation of several international AT&T projects including, Egypt
(existing network, repair and restoration manager), Guatemala, provided
training to host country national telecom engineers, in the use of Micro
Systems M-100 field interface test and records verification system and DaVar
test and record verification system . Saudi Arabia, performed fiber route
surveys for scheduled AT&T TEP-6 fiber expansion project through out
the Kingdom. Manila, Philippines performed as outside plant construction and
splicing manager, building entire underground network from central office to
last mile customers including the stock exchange located in Makati, Manila
for Global Telecom. 1996-1997,
Portland Oregon, served as special services conditioning supervisor, Butler
Telecom Inc. and US West performing testing and conditioning of specials
circuits 56KB/64KB, ISDN,ADSL, T-1 span, defective pair recovery and
deloading POTS lines for state Lottery project 1996-1997. 1998-2002,
Project Splicing Manager for OSP Consultants Inc. and US West, in The Phoenix
Arizona metro area performing both copper/fiber splicing termination and turn
up, including trunk, feeder, ring-cuts and cabinet splicing, x-box cutovers,
VDSL, (triple play services) site preparation and installation. 2002-2004,
Splicing and Construction Manager for Sound Telecom Inc. for Comcast
Inc. in the San Jose area of California, performing lip and gutter saw cut
installation of inner-duct and fiber cable for network upgrade. From
California upon project completion, I accepted a position in Tampa Florida
with Sound Telecom to manage FTTH construction in Hillsbrough county.
Construction Manager in Puerto Rico, performing CATV aerial and buried
installation for expansion project at various locations in Puerto Rico, which
included permitting, sourcing local CATV construction contractors. 2004-2005,
Project Construction Manager for US Utility Contractor Co. in Perrysburg OH,
performing network construction, aerial, buried and underground in various
locations in the mid Atlantic, states, including Toledo, Cleveland,
Akron and Andrews Air Force base Maryland. 2005-2007,
City Manager for Comtec Solutions Inc. and Comcast Inc. in Las Vegas Nevada,
performing management of fiber splicing and testing, engineering site surveys
for last mile commercial sites and cell towers. 2007-Present,
I returned to US Utility Contractors as Project Manager where I am presently
employed in North Haven CT, initially performing copper pair conditioning for
AT&T, U-VERSE service. Upon completion of copper pair conditioning
project I have continued to perform as Project Manager performing daily network
aerial construction, strand and cable placement, placing and replacing
AT&T poles throughout the state of Connecticut. Managed fiber
