•         Conduct network testing (OTDR) of fiber ring, long haul fiber plant, metropolitan area network (MAN) and premises.

•         Outside Plant cabling in aerial and/or underground plant/ network.

•         Read and understand blue prints, drawing and lay-out of cabling schematic.

•         Project manager for installation on customer premises throughout United States and Canada of hardware, fiber optic cabling, copper cabling and equipment, troubleshooting, and testing.

•         Designed and updated hardware for data center and outside plant product line.

•         Research and development of a new line of product with RFID (Radio Frequency Identification Tags) technology for asset management tracking and real time updates of networks changes within command center protocols.

•         Install and test fiber and copper trunks in data center environment. Assemble and install racks, cabinets, basket tray, cabling racks. Install patch panels and related hardware. Install routers and switches. Understanding of data center structure, i.e. SAN side, networks and storage.

•     Designed and engineered Fiber Optic Devices for existing line of product and custom network applications. Work with other Corning divisions for optimum internal information exchange to expand the intellectual property between divisions.

•     Terminating all types of fiber optic connectors such has anaerobic, hot melt, mechanical, epoxy, etc.

•     Terminating (fusion or mechanical splicing) of single fiber or ribbon fiber (high fiber count cable) in outside plant and Lan environment.

•     Designed plastic injection molds (injection, rotational, thermoforming) metal stamping tooling, machined parts and rapid prototyping with SLA and SLS technology.

•     Created and designed electronic circuitry (circuit board and components layout).

•     Familiar with PRO-E and Solid Works design software.

•     Involved with the fiber optic design group for new High Fiber Ribbon Cable drop cable for FTTH and FTTC applications.

•     Customer demo and training on different product lines, including OSP products, Splice Equipment and Test Equipment. Installation of equipment including data, voice and electrical.

•      Testing of new prototype, building working unit to perform environmental testing, provide solutions for new design issues and/or alternative that can be adapted to the product.
