FIBER OPTIC CABLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Splice,test,trouble shoot fiber optic cable.Splicing underground,aerial and buildings.

Knowledge on both  single and ribbon fibers.

Knowledge in different type of  fiber optic  connector.(SC,ST,UNICAM.)

Knowledge using FUSION SPLICING RIBBON AND SINGLE FIBERS ,OTDR ,POWER METER AND FLUKE DTX 1800 ANALYZER.additional skills:CCTV,CAT6,COAX.

COPPER CABLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

Splice,test,trouble shoot telephone copper cable such as SHORTED,OPEN AND GROUNDED LINES.

Ability to trouble shoot line from C.O. to Subscribers.

Knowledge on both 710 splicing machine and M2 splicing machine. 

Knowledge using SIDEKICK,DYNATEL TEST  EQUIPMENT AND TDR.DYNATEL 965,DYNATEL 745

Ability to locate bridge tap connection using test equipment.

Build splice case,B-Box ,closure and terminals.Re-arrange service drops,transfer,repair and documents work done accordingly.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

Computer literate.(Microsoft office)

Ability to operate bucket van,boom lift scissor lift,,pull splice trailer and arrow board.

Knowledge in CAT3,CAT 5, CAT 6, CCTV, AND COAX.(RG59,RG56,RG11)

Knowledge in 66 block , 110 block and patch panel.

Knowledge in different type of splice case and enclosure such as:

Corning,Siecor,Leviton.Amp Network,Siemon,Ortronics,Preformed Products,Runt,Pup and Armadillo.

Knowledge in OSP construction such as installing messenger wire and lashing cable.
